GUY CODE 👀

It’s a different voice, different walk, different energy.

This Guy Code session will be a creative, hands-on experience where Guys and Allies imagine their own world where one can exist as their full selves.

During the session we will:

- Define what safety actually feels like in the body

Before therapy had a name, before wellness had a hashtag, there was the drum. 🥁🌍

Meet Daunté Nabi Fyall ( ) — Professional West African dancer, choreographer, UC San Diego professor, and Founder and Artistic Director of DAANSEKOU (Dance+Wisdom) Cultural Arts & Wellness Collective ( ) A grassroots organization in Southern California dedicated to preserving and sharing West African dance, drumming, and holistic wellness practices.

DAANSEKOU isn’t a brand, it’s a lineage, a living commitment to the wisdom that rhythm and movement have always carried for our communities, long before it was packaged and long before it was sold. Daunté creates accessible spaces for healing, connection, and celebration rooted in something real: the knowledge that the body already knows how to release when given the right invitation.
Wisdom, rhythm, movement not as performance but as medicine.

At Zen Fest 2026 Daunté is bringing the drum circle home to DTLA — activating presence, emotional release, and the kind of collective joy that reminds you what it feels like to be in community with your whole body. 🌊
This isn’t just a performance, it’s a practice that’s been healing people for generations and on May 9th it belongs to all of us.

Some people perform and then there are people who transmit. 🎤🏆🌀

Meet Malachi Rivers ( )— spoken word poet, GRAMMY®-nominated songwriter, 3x Indie Series Award-winning actor, screenwriter, and one of the most complete artistic minds working right now.

From a residency at the legendary Nuyorican Poets Café to the stage of the Apollo Theatre. From the Blue Note Jazz Café to NPR. From the Kennedy Center to David Fincher’s Oscar-winning film Mank. Malachi has moved through every room the culture has to offer — and left something real in each one.

In 2026 he enters a new chapter as a GRAMMY®-nominated featured artist and co-writer on Queen Sheba’s A Hurricane in Heels — currently contending for Best Spoken Word Poetry Album. His debut album No Signal, Vol. 1 features collaborators including Doodlebug of the GRAMMY®-winning Digable Planets and Rutina Wesley.

Before the awards, before the nominations, before the screens and the stages, Malachi Rivers is a poet and poetry has always been one of the oldest forms of mental health care our communities have ever known.

At Zen Fest 2026 he’s bringing that gift back to where it belongs, in community, in healing and in the room with you. 🖤

self care isn’t a trend. in Brittany’s () hands it’s a whole curriculum.

meet Brittany Miranda — professional dancer turned wellness practitioner, movement therapist, and one of the most genuinely holistic healers we’ve had the privilege of bringing into the Zen Fest space.

Brittany’s work lives at the intersection of yoga, meditation, assisted stretching, and manual therapy — a blend shaped not just by academic knowledge of movement and therapeutic strategy, but by her own healing journey. she knows what it means to need care from the inside out. and that lived understanding is exactly what makes her approach land differently.

whether you’re stepping onto a mat for the first time or years into your practice, Brittany meets you exactly where you are. no performance. no pressure. just movement as medicine and a practitioner who actually means it.

at Zen Fest 2026 she’s joining us as a panelist for our Self Care Kit 101 segment — breaking down the real, practical tools for building a sustainable self care practice that works for your life. not an aesthetic. not a routine you can’t keep up with. an actual kit. 🛠️

because self care should feel like relief — not another thing on your list.
