St. Barnabas Senior Services Live Well, Feel Well, Age Well St. Barnabas Senior Services (SBSS) was founded in 1908 by the Episcopal Diocese in Los Angeles.

Since 1967, SBSS has operated as a nonsectarian, nonprofit corporation. For over 100 years, SBSS has been serving aging and economically vulnerable residents in Los Angeles. In order to meet the needs of Los Angeles’ aging population, SBSS provides nutrition, transportation, adult day health care, and social services, as well as wellness and longevity education and activities. In addition, SBSS is

leading advocacy and civic engagement efforts to ensure seniors’ access to life-enhancing services. Through program excellence, commitment to innovation, and a passion for helping vulnerable seniors, SBSS is making positive changes in the lives of seniors in Los Angeles.

As temperatures continue to rise across Los Angeles, we're grateful to everyone who helped make our recent fan distribution event at SBSS Echo Park a success.

A heartfelt thank you to the Los Angeles Department of Aging, Councilmember Hugo Soto-Martinez, Los Angeles Department of Water & Power and everyone who helped make this event possible. Your partnership is helping ensure older adults have the resources they need to stay safe and cool during the extreme summer heat.
