Since 2022, the Get Together Foundation has been bringing top-quality music education to kids who would otherwise not have the chance. Classes take place at Boys & Girls Clubs, summer and winter camps, and at other locations serving children and families in need.

Guitar. Drums. Keyboard. Ukulele. Vocals. Songwriting. Sing-alongs. Holiday concerts. Every class is led by skilled music teachers and working musicians who love working with kids.

It is completely free to students and to the venues that host it. Every child deserves access to the opportunities that help them thrive, and for many kids, it starts with a drum.

Mare, co-founder of Get Together Foundation, spent time with campers at Camp Hope this summer teaching a cooking class.

Aprons on, fruit sliced, and plenty of curious faces watching every step.

It is a small moment with a big idea behind it: every child deserves access to the opportunities and resources they need to thrive. Learning to cook is education and healthy living in one activity, and it is exactly the kind of experience Get Together Foundation wants every young person to have.

Get Together Foundation is working to pave the path to success for the community's next generation. Good things happen when people come together, even around a cutting board.

Some of the best music starts with a circle, a beat, and a room full of kids who are all in. 🥁

This is Together in Tune, Get Together Foundation's free music program bringing music education to kids who might not otherwise have the chance. Every class is led by a qualified music teacher or working musician who loves working with kids, and you can see why they keep coming back.

For the students, it is a chance to play, laugh, and discover something they are good at. For the teachers, it is the joy of watching a child find the beat for the first time. Together, they build confidence, creativity, and a love of music that lasts far beyond the class.

Together in Tune has been bringing that joy since 2022, at no cost to students or the venues that host it.

Good things happen when people come together. 🎶

We were invited to attend this amazing event put on by one of our partners: Union Rescue Mission last Friday, Sept 25. "Over the Edge 2026" is their annual fundraiser. Check out the photos and videos to understand how these devoted teams of people raise money for URM! For 2 days, brave & daring people were sponsored to rappel down the outside of the Hilton Los Angeles/Universal City. Here are some highlights of the event, including the VIP reception, attended by GTF Programming Director, Lauri Reimer and one of our wonderful volunteers, Jackie Kaminski. GTF is so fortunate to work with such a dedicated organization with a group of likeminded employees, devoted to helping people have a better life. This was the reason that, in July of this year we sponsored a summer day camp for the kids at their women & children's shelter Hope Gardens. We'll be continuing to work together with this wonderful organization and intend to continue the summer camp next year. Congratulation Union Rescue Mission!

What can a partnership make possible? A safe place for a family to start over. 💛

Get Together Foundation believes every child deserves access to the opportunities and resources they need to thrive. Sometimes that starts with something as basic as a bed.

That is why Get Together Foundation partnered with Hope of the Valley Rescue Mission to make Casa de Vida possible. Casa de Vida is a 48-bed, 90-day crisis shelter for families & children in the West San Fernando Valley. It has room for 12 families each night and is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by a team trained to care for families in crisis, most of them headed by single mothers.

Casa de Vida offers housing navigation case management, medical and mental healthcare referrals, parenting classes, and help finding child care and employment, all aimed at helping families stabilize and find permanent housing.

This is the kind of work that drives Get Together Foundation. GTF works to empower youth and help pave the path to success for the next generation. That work reaches further when organizations come together.

Gardening, music, basketball - kids getting to be kids and enjoying things every child should get to experience. GTF is honored to be able to give these opportunities to children in our community.

Thank you to Hope the Mission for being a partner in this work. Good things happen when people come together.

Summer may be over, but at the Get Together Foundation we are still thinking about Camp Hope. The climbing wall. The obstacle course. The music. The art. And a whole lot of laughter.

Kids learned. Kids explored. Kids had fun. Proof that good things happen when people come together. Thanks to our partner, Union Rescue Mission for this opportunity and to all the donors who contributed to making Camp Hope possible!

Ok here it is... We wrote a camp theme song for Camp Hope and performed it on the last day of camp. The song is appropriately named "Camp Hope" and it was written by the middle school campers who participated in the music classes with the help of teacher, Lauri Reimer & accompaniment by teacher Steve Bauman. Thank you Kevin Wachs for capturing the kids making their debut performance just minutes after completing the song!
