isasters strike by educating vulnerable, and special needs communities, and by recruiting, training, and supporting volunteers in disaster services activities. California Safe Corps members serve in a full-time capacity for 10.5 months at one of our American Red Cross Chapter operating sites. We currently have 24 members serving through out California - from Orange County to Eureka! Safe Corps members receive a bi-weekly living allowance of $782.61 (before taxes), health and dental insurance, and a $10,000 Education Award upon successful completion of the program. Childcare assistance is also available to those who qualify.
