This fall, we’re bringing our school communities together over lunch to connect, reflect, and celebrate progress. At each gathering, our interim CEO, Randy Romero, has shared a powerful story about his why, who we are as an organization, and how our collective work is helping students succeed, while highlighting progress across our network and within each school. So far, we’ve gathered with teams at Ritter, 107th St., Joyner, Weigand Ave., and Figueroa St. elementary schools; Markham Middle School; and MSTMA and Roosevelt high schools.🍂✨

✈️✨ Our K-PhD students took flight at this year’s "Girls in Aviation Day," exploring the exciting world of aviation and aerospace alongside K-PhD teacher leaders Ms. Nicole Klanfer of and Ms. Alfonsina Aguilar of .

In partnership with LACI and United Airlines, students got an inside look at the many careers and possibilities waiting for them in aviation and aerospace. 🚀

This year, we also had an extra-special connection: our group leader, Selena Andrade, a proud graduate, shared how extracurricular opportunities in helped pave the way for her aviation career.

Teacher retention and workforce equity are essential to ensuring every student has access to stable, well-prepared educators.

Our team will present insights from our reports, "By the Numbers: The State of the LAUSD Teacher Workforce" and "Beyond Year One: Supporting New Teachers to Stay and Succeed," at 's Education Equity Forum 2026: The Courage of Our Convictions on Sept. 23, 2026. They will highlight what the data and teachers’ experiences tell us about strengthening retention, supporting early-career educators, and advancing equity in high-need schools.

We’re looking forward to bringing these important conversations and practical solutions to the table!

✨And just like that, another week of school is in the books!

The energy across Partnership schools is strong! Over the past two weeks, school leaders, teachers, and students have jumped into new routines, explored new content, built connections, and brought excitement into classrooms.

For our students, the start of a new school year means reconnecting with old friends, making new ones, moving up to the next grade, and getting to know the teachers who will help make this year one to remember. We’re proud of the strong start and can’t wait to see what our students and school communities accomplish together this year. Here’s to an amazing year ahead!🎉
