Los Angeles Parks Foundation Our mission is to enhance, expand preserve & promote LA city parks for the diverse people of LA

The Foundation provides support that the City of Los Angeles is unable to offer by raising funds to improve park facilities, enhance park environments, preserve and restore historic elements in our city parks, support sustainability projects and purchase property for future parkland. The Los Angeles Parks Foundation works with companies, both large and small, other non-profits, community groups, s

ponsors, partners and individuals. With over 435 parks and incredible resources, we seek support for system wide projects and we create partnerships that benefit a single park or meet a specific need. Please help us do more for parks in the following areas of focus:
- Environmental Investments: including water conservation, recycling, solar power
- Community Landscape: park beautification, shade, benches, statue restorations
- Recreational Capital: pool remodels, dog park upgrades, turf soccer fields, court resurfacing
- Healthier Citizens: creating park walking paths, solar lighting, universal playgrounds

🌱 Volunteer with Us at Commonwealth Nursery! 🌱

Join us on Saturday, March 14 for a hands-on volunteer day in Griffith Park! Together, we’ll help care for the plants that support habitat restoration projects across Los Angeles parks.

Volunteers will assist with:
🌿 Removing invasive plants
🏠Rehoming plants into larger pots
🌳 Supporting the growth of native plants that will eventually thrive in our parks

Will you be our Valentine? 💚🌹

This February 14th, we’re skipping the chocolate and getting our hands in the dirt instead! We’re looking for some "plant-astic" volunteers to spend the morning around the nursery showing our plants some TLC.

What we’ll be doing:
🌱 Repotting seedlings to give them room to grow.
🥜 Sowing seeds.
🌾 Removing invasive plants (because some relationships just aren't meant to be).
