Camp Musubi

Camp Musubi Camp Musubi is a youth camp that uses fun activities to engage young people about Japanese American culture, history, and heritage.

What Makes Camp Musubi Special? While the vast majority of Japanese Americans live in the surrounding areas of Los Angeles’ Little Tokyo with cultural camps closer to home, Camp Musubi is committed to Little Tokyo. We feel it’s important to connect campers to J-Town’s 130-year history and the struggles and triumphs of our Issei, Nisei and Sansei. As one of only three remaining historic Japantowns

in the country, Little Tokyo’s future depends on the next generation building memories and experiences along its historic sidewalks, manju shops and social institutions.

We're incredibly honored to share that the Japanese American Musuem of San Jose has been selected as the Gold Award for the “Best Small Museum” in Metro Magazine’s Best of Silicon Valley 2025 list! It’s all thanks to you— our volunteers, staff, museum members, the community, and the wonderful people who come to visit our museum. 🏅✨

Thank you for supporting us in our mission to collect, preserve, and share Japanese American history, culture and art with the world. It's been an incredible year.

Nakase was voted WNBA Coach of the Year on Sept. 17 after leading her team to the playoffs, making league history as the only first-year franchise to reach the postseason. “I wouldn’t have gotten this award if everyone didn’t do their job to the best of their ability, and that’s why this award is so important.”
