Check out our newest FreshTracks music video, "I'm Saved".

FreshTracks gives young people the opportunity to choose a creative area to explore, from beat-making and music production to film and creative writing. Through the program, students build new skills, express themselves through art, and develop their creativity.

Students then come together to collaborate on one final creative project, bringing their individual skills and ideas together to create something entirely their own.

“I’m Saved” is the result of that collaboration, created by FreshTracks students at The C.A.P.O. Center at Jail Guitar Doors from the first beat to the final frame.

Tyler and a group of our youth put their Narcan training into action and helped save a man’s life right outside the C.A.P.O. Center.

Their quick response is a powerful reminder of why overdose prevention education matters. Knowing how to recognize an overdose and use Narcan can save a life.

Our next FREE Narcan training is September 30 with AADAP. Open to the public—come learn life-saving skills and be prepared to help someone in your community.

AB 2247 would make trauma-informed care more accessible to young people impacted by gun violence and give them the opportunity to process what they’ve experienced, heal, and break cycles of trauma.

This is especially meaningful to us at C.A.P.O. Center, where we work alongside youth navigating trauma and justice system involvement.

We are grateful to Lorena for sharing her experience with her son, turning that trauma into a lifelong commitment to ending street violence, and continuing to advocate for the young people at C.A.P.O.
