NASFAA President and CEO Melanie Storey joined the American Council on Education (ACE) for a conversation on the dotEDU podcast about how financial aid offices are implementing several provisions of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA), and what the profession is looking ahead to.

Storey noted at the start of the discussion that July 1 was just the beginning of a long haul for financial aid professionals in implementing OBBBA.

“For financial aid professionals, July 1 is really the starting gun of a marathon that's going to continue into the fall, at least through the next year – likely more depending on how some of these lawsuits go,” Storey said. “Quite frankly, we're entering that marathon already pretty tired.”
