This week, we kicked off a Digital Skills Training for K-12 parents in Los Angeles County with Our Voice / Nuestra Voz.

During the first day of the training, parents received laptops, were introduced to the course topics, and discussed their personal goals. Our participants were energized to start this journey and learn skills to advocate for their kids' education.

Thanks to ONEgeneration for hosting this training session and to the California Public Utilities Commission for supporting this important digital access program.

In honor of National Community Health Worker Awareness Week, we’re highlighting the connection between digital skills and community health.

In California’s Central Valley, community health workers and Promotoras are often the only link between families and healthcare systems. But they need to be properly trained and equipped for today’s digital world.

To help future public health champions thrive as healthcare goes digital, Everyone On joined forces with Visión y Compromiso to host a digital skills training for 15 women in Tulare County preparing for Promotora roles.

Through our Workplace Essential Skills expansion training, participants learned how to build resumes, write cover letters, and navigate online job portals to kickstart their careers.

To support their career pathways, all 15 participants earned a laptop to keep for employment searches, professional growth, and community outreach.

Thank you to Visión y Compromiso for partnering with us to expand digital access and connect more communities to better healthcare.

When Myrna enrolled in our Digital Connections program, she wrote a letter to her future self.

Before starting our six-week program, she wanted to overcome her fear of technology, gain confidence, and build new skills for her personal and professional life.

Through patience, practice, and determination, Myrna proved to herself that it’s never too late to learn and grow.

As LAUSD students head back to the classroom, they’re stepping into a new environment with clear boundaries around school-issued devices and daily screen time.📲

Moves like this spark an important conversation. Digital tools are essential for learning, but effective technology use comes down to quality, balance, and real-world application.

Building digital and AI readiness goes far beyond tracking screen hours. It requires developing literacy and practical skills so students, parents, and community members can use technology safely, purposefully, and as a bridge to real-world opportunities.

When schools and communities focus on practical skills alongside healthy digital boundaries, technology can be a reliable tool for growth and stability.

California’s farmworkers feed our nation every single day, yet thousands face huge barriers when it comes to getting online.

To help change that, we partnered with the California Farmworker Foundation and the Tulare County Office of Education (TCOE) for a 6-week digital skills program with local K-12 parents! 💻✨

Together, families learned how to check school portals, research new career paths, and navigate the digital world on their own terms. And to celebrate finishing the course, every family earned a brand-new laptop to take home! 🎉

From navigating telehealth portals to managing online banking and staying connected with loved ones, these community members brought energy, focus, and joy to every single session. When people have access to technology and the skills to use it, whole communities thrive.

“As I step into this next chapter of my life, I know I’ll carry more from this internship than the skills I added to my resume.”

Before joining our team as our Digital Media and Program Support Intern this summer, Natalya Nelson was a participant in our Bridges to Tech program, supported by Best Buy. Welcoming her marked a special milestone as we launched our first formal summer internship program.

From providing hands-on curriculum feedback based on her student experience to designing an impact report, Natalya brought immense value to our team before heading off to her first year at Howard University.
