Everyone On's 2025 Impact Report is officially here, and it tells a powerful story of how our programs are changing lives across the United States.

This Juneteenth, Everyone On honors Black innovation, excellence, and leadership.

Much of the technology that powers our daily lives has been shaped by generations of Black innovators, entrepreneurs, and educators. As emerging technologies and AI continue to reshape our world, elevating Black voices in innovation is vital to building an inclusive digital future.

We’re proud to spotlight three incredible leaders who show what is possible when we remove barriers and open doors to opportunity:

🌟 Mark Dean (Past): A pioneering engineer at IBM who co-created the color PC monitor and the first gigahertz chip, laying the foundation for our modern digital world.

🌟 Stacy Brown-Philpot (Present): Former CEO of Taskrabbit and founder of Cherryrock Capital, she has spent her career expanding venture funding and tech access for Black founders.

🌟 Nyamekye Wilson (Future): Founder of Black Sisters in STEM, she is closing racial and gender gaps by investing directly in the next generation of tech leaders through technical training and mentorship.

Everyone On has officially launched our first program in San Francisco! 🌉

Through a new grant from the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC), we’re partnering with St. Anthony's Foundation Tech Center in the Tenderloin to train 45 adult program participants over the next three months.

This specialized training equips families with the practical digital literacy and tech fluency needed to manage daily life, pursue education, and unlock new employment opportunities.

This June, Everyone On is celebrating progress while shining a light on the systemic barriers the LGBTQIA+ community faces every day. Right now, rapid AI deployment is exposing these very communities to algorithmic bias and privacy risks.

A new "Beyond the Binary" report from LGBT Tech exposes urgent data protection risks that threaten the personal safety and economic growth of LGBTQIA+ individuals. Their survey found that 71% of LGBTQIA+ adults worry about AI bias in content moderation, 68% worry about algorithm discrimination, and 73% worry about misinformation.

These digital worries make existing employment struggles even harder for the community. Since LGBTQIA+ workers—and particularly transgender women—face higher unemployment rates than heterosexual and cisgender workers, the rise of automated hiring tools threatens to turn these unfair gaps into permanent barriers.

True digital inclusion requires that we center and uplift LGBTQIA+ individuals in our programs. We must take a stand against rising threats to online safety so that our digital economy opens doors for everyone.

The first-ever Digital Equity Act Month of Action ends today. Now we’re left with the question: Where do we go from here?

"A free laptop means more than just access to technology; it means opportunity." – Morgana, Milwaukee event participant

We're grateful to all the folks who showed up at our Large Scale Device Distribution in Milwaukee this weekend, and to HOPE Network for Single Mothers and Wisconsin Women's Business Initiative Corporation (WWBIC) for the partnership opportunity to distribute laptops to the community!

In one day, we distributed 100 laptops to single mothers and aspiring small business owners. It means everything to connect people with laptops - for some, their first-ever computer - to help them go back to school, build a business, and support their kids.

Congratulations to the latest graduating cohort from our Bridges to Tech class in Minneapolis, supported by Best Buy! Eight high school students just completed a year-long training in multimedia digital skills to carve a path to successful careers in tech. 🎓✨

These students worked closely with our multimedia skills instructor to shape their own curriculums, applying their digital skills to produce powerful PSAs about community issues that are important to them. During the final celebration, they shared their PSAs and received point-and-shoot cameras—the technology they chose to continue their creative journeys. 📸🙌

We’re deeply proud of these rising young leaders, and can’t wait to see how they continue using digital media to spark change. 💫

Last week, Senator Ben Ray Luján and Representative Doris Matsui introduced the Digital Opportunity Foundation Act to expand digital access, inclusion, and literacy nationwide.

One year after the Digital Equity Act’s $2.75 billion in federal funding was cut, this action highlights the daily reality for the 33.5 million people in the U.S. who still live without home internet.

Reliable internet, devices, and digital skills are the backbone of modern life and the 🔑 to full digital adoption. This is the work of Everyone On - we connect communities to digital access and AI.

While billions of corporate dollars pour into AI innovation, millions of Americans are being left behind.

Right now, more than 16 million people in the U.S. don’t have access to a computer, preventing AI adoption and digital literacy, especially in underserved communities.

Without basic devices or internet skills, students can’t use digital tools to keep up with schoolwork, job seekers can’t navigate online portals to find work, and small business owners can’t compete in an AI-driven world.
