At UPK Discovery Day, families and early learning educators came together to explore early childhood options, share their experiences, and connect around what children and families need to thrive.

Throughout the event, families and educators identified priorities that reflect all five Strengthening Families Protective Factors: social-emotional growth, social connections, concrete support, knowledge of parenting and child development, and resilience.

At Connections for Children, this is what community-driven early childhood engagement looks like in practice: creating opportunities for families and educators to connect, share their voices, and strengthen the support systems that help children thrive. ✨

Meet a few of the faces behind Discovery Day! 💙💛

From setting up to welcoming families, managing sign-ins, and answering questions, our incredible team and volunteers helped connect Santa Monica families with early learning resources and opportunities for preschool, TK, and UPK.

By bringing families and early learning providers together, Discovery Day helped families explore their options and take the next step toward finding quality early learning for their children.

Thank you to our amazing team and volunteers for making Discovery Day possible! ✨
