Now imagine this—

He was real. 🐇

Not soft stuffing, but fragile bones.
Not stitched eyes, but eyes that once trusted. 🥺
Not silence, but quiet suffering… stretching through endless days and nights. 🌙

Because this isn’t a story.

This is what happens to real rabbits—bred for profit, bought on impulse, discarded when the novelty fades. 📦
Used. Neglected. Abandoned. Broken. 🩸

This toy feels nothing.

Real bunnies feel everything. 💔🐾

And still… people keep buying them.
Still… breeders keep creating more lives to suffer.

Eighteen years of choosing compassion, persistence, and love, even when the path is difficult 💖🐇

🌟 2025 brought wildfires, emergencies, and heartbreak, yet together we saved over 1,000 precious lives once again ✨
This extraordinary work was only possible because of you 🙏

Because of our incredible community of volunteers, fosters, transporters, veterinarians, and donors, so many vulnerable bunnies are starting this year safe, protected, and loved 🐰💫

On this holy, hushed Christmas night, when the world feels a little softer and hearts open a little wider, we pause to look into these sweet, innocent faces… and we are reminded why love matters. 💖
Every tiny nose, every trusting eye, every gentle heartbeat is a quiet miracle.

Across miles, oceans, and languages, you have found your way to our bunnies. Though many of you are far away, your compassion travels effortlessly—woven through comments, shared stories, photos of your own beloved companions, and words that wrap around us like warm light. 🌍🐰

Some of you give in memory—of a bunny, of a human, of a love that still lives on. Those gifts are sacred. They turn grief into healing, loss into life, and remind the world that these fragile beings are not “just cute.” They are souls. They matter. 🌈

💔🐇 ANOTHER TINY ORPHAN DUMPED - S. LA SHELTER🐇💔Only 3 weeks old. A life so small it fits in the palm of your hand — and already discarded, unwanted, alone.

Meet Ohtani. A fragile white Hotot baby, with perfect mascara eyes that seem painted by angels… and yet, someone still threw this tiny soul away. Found trembling in a cold, metal cage at a high-kill shelter, Ohtani had no mother to comfort him, no warmth, no reason to hope.

We just rescued Dotty and her two newborn kits days ago (we’ll share their update soon), but before we even had time to breathe, another plea arrived. Another innocent life in danger. Another impossible decision. 💔

Thanks to one incredible foster angel, Ohtani is safe for now — but only until November 16. After that, we’ll have nowhere to take him.

Every day, the pleas keep coming. Babies, families, seniors, bonded pairs — all waiting for someone to say, “Yes, I’ll help.” And every time we say yes, it’s because you are there beside us.

Please understand: we have no facility, no paid staff, no building full of cages.
Bunny World Foundation is made entirely of volunteers and foster homes.
Without fosters, there is no rescue.

If you’re not comfortable fostering a tiny baby, you can still save lives by relieving one of our experienced senior fosters — take in an adult pair, or even a single bunny. Every space that opens allows us to save another desperate baby like Ohtani.
