💔 We just found out that one of our beloved members Therese Marie Heyer – Zimmerman passed away at the age of 98 💛
She is survived by her sons Dan William Zimmerman & wife Gail; John Phillip Zimmerman & wife Linda; her daughter Marie Catherine Zimmerman-Beeson & husband Dennis; her 7 grandsons: Eric, Marc, Johnny, Elijah, Kyle, Andrew and Zacary; multiple great and great-great grandchildren; her niece and goddaughter Maryhelen Sams.
As a child Therese’s family moved a lot, so she went to many different schools. A final move to California at the age of 14. Her last year of high school was Chaffey High class of 1944 in Ontario, California.
Therese worked as a PBX operator at Armstrong Nurseries where she met her husband, Don. They married on August 6, 1949, then moved to Culver City where her 3 sons were born then moved to the San Fernando Valley where her daughter was born. This move was her final move and had lived there for 71 years.
Therese worked at Broadway in Panorama City as the switch board operator for over 20 years. From there she worked at St Genevieve Parish Rectory after retiring from there she stayed on as a volunteer.
She was very active in her parish from helping the mission circle, to CCD and Eucharistic Minister to mention a few always gathering friends from whatever she was a part of.
Most importantly she loved God, her family and friends and was kind to strangers.
