Worried about a friend or colleague? Ask directly. "Are you thinking about ending your own life?" Direct language does not create the thought - it creates a safe space for them to speak truthfully.

By asking, you move from guessing to knowing, allowing you to help them find the resources they need. Grief can exacerbate feelings of loneliness or hopelessness.

If you or someone you know is having thoughts of su***de, call or text 988 in the U.S. or Canada to connect with a trained crisis counselor—available 24/7. Available in English and Spanish. If there is immediate danger, call 911 or your local emergency number.

We’re excited to share a few more photos from an incredible weekend filled with connection, remembrance, support, and plenty of fun.

At Camp Erin, grieving children, teens, and their families have the opportunity to connect with others who understand their experiences, honor and remember someone who has died, and participate in meaningful activities—all while making new memories together.

From moments of reflection to laughter and play, Camp Erin reminds us of the importance of creating spaces where grief and joy can exist side by side.

We are so grateful to the families who joined us, our incredible staff and volunteers, and our generous supporters, including , who help make experiences like Camp Erin possible. 💛

Enjoy a few more moments from this meaningful weekend!

CAMP ERIN: Two Days of Connection, Healing, and Hope

Two weeks ago, OUR HOUSE Grief Support Center welcomed grieving children, teens, and their families to Camp Erin, a special two-day experience filled with support, connection, remembrance, and fun.

Camp Erin provides families with a safe and compassionate environment where they can honor and remember someone who has died while connecting with others who understand what they are going through. Throughout the weekend, campers participated in meaningful grief-support activities alongside opportunities to play, laugh, create new memories, and simply enjoy being together.

For grieving children and families, knowing they are not alone can make an extraordinary difference. Camp Erin creates space for both the difficult emotions of grief and the joy that remains possible after a death.

We are deeply grateful to the dedicated staff, volunteers, supporters Hillside Memorial Park and Mortuary, and families who made this meaningful weekend possible. Together, we continue to build a community where grieving families feel seen, supported, and connected—and where hope and healing can grow.

What a night! 🎉 Nicole Byer and her incredible team took the win on Celebrity Family Feud last night, and they chose Our House Grief Support Center as their charity of choice.

Their victory means $25,000 for Our House and the thousands of children, teens, adults, and families we support through grief.

Thank you, Nicole and team, for putting your win toward helping people in our community find hope after a death. ❤️
