Mental health isn't a one-time conversation, it's daily habits. A short walk, staying connected instead of pulling away, naming what you're feeling without judgment, protecting your sleep, and telling a trusted adult you don't have to carry it alone. Save this for the days you need the reminder.

The 2026-27 state budget is here with mixed news for school health.

The wins: some Medi-Cal restrictions on immigrant families were delayed, the Fair Share Contribution proposal is advancing, and $1B in ongoing funding will expand Community Schools. LA County's Measure ER is also helping fill funding gaps.

The catch: without long-term revenue solutions, Health for All rollbacks are still coming in 2027-28.

Schools remain a critical entry point to healthcare for kids. Full breakdown on our website: https://www.thelatrust.org/articles/california-budget-delays-health-care-rollbacks-while-the-fight-for-fair-share-contribution-continues
