At just 10 months old, Fairy has suffered injuries so severe that she is unable to open her mouth. We urgently need your help to raise the funds for Fairyās life-changing surgery.
Fairy was found as a stray and brought to a crowded shelter. From the moment the shelter staff laid eyes on her, it was clear something was wrong. Her entire jaw was misaligned, and she couldnāt open her mouth more than an inch. She wouldnāt have survived much longer in the shelter, so we knew we had to help.
When we took Fairy in, she got a quick exam with our medical team before heading right to the vet. Sadly, our worst fears were confirmed. X-rays showed that Fairy has two severe breaks in her facial bones: one in her left cheekbone and the other in her lower jaw. Even worse, it is likely that her injuries were the result of physical abuse.
Unfortunately, her X-rays didnāt give us a clear enough picture of the damage. We know she will need surgery, but we wonāt be able to move forward without a $4,500 CT scan.
Right now, Fairy is struggling to eat and she is at risk of developing aspiration Pneumonia. The longer we have to wait, the more at-risk she becomes of developing other life-threatening complications. Fairy needs urgent intervention, and every second counts. We need your help to raise the funds for her CT scan and the care that will come after.
Fairy has likely known heartbreaking cruelty in her short life thus far, but her heart remains full of nothing but love. She is sweet, gentle, and affectionate. She deserves a life full of joy and happiness, but we canāt give her a pain-free future without your support.
