In honor of International Literacy Day, El Pueblo Historical Monument, ShowBiz Kidz Foundation, and El Pueblo Park Association invited celebrities from film,television and sports to participate in the “CELEBRITY READING DAY™” event on Saturday, September 7th, 10:00AM-4:00PM at The Pico House, an Los Angeles Historical Monument, 424 N. READING SESSION III -ELEMENTARY SCHOOL STUDENTS
In a round-robin session for the elementary school children,"Last Man Standing" actor and voice-over extraordinaire Jonathan Adams will ham it up with the children along with actress Wendi McLendon-Covey (The Goldbergs) and nominated actor Benito Martinez (The Shield,13 Reasons Why, Sons of Anarchy, How to Get Away with Murder). READING SESSION VI -TEEN / YOUNG ADULT
With increased requests by teens/tweens and the media surrounding millennial celebrities pushing towards de-stigmatizing their need for mental health, we have carved out a special teen session addressing mental wellness. This session will comprise of panelists from bestselling authors, psychiatrists and TV medical experts (and board advisor from Dr. Oz’s Healthcorps foundation), Dr. Mark Goulston to TV personality and entertainment correspondent AJ Gibson along with a couple of millennial television actors addressing bullying, stress, depression, anxiety and su***de prevention.
