A program of ONEgeneration, Sages & Seekers strives to develop empathy and diminish ageism in young adults and elders through conversation and inquiry.

Sages & Seekers strives to develop empathy and diminish ageism in young adults and elders through conversation and inquiry. Our unique 8-week program brings together youth and elders to share their gifts in a respectful and constructive framework. Elder “Sages” and student “Seekers” work in partnership to produce a written biographical piece focused on a piece of ‘wisdom’ the elder wishes to impart. Through meaningful intergenerational programming, Sages & Seekers develops more confident individuals and stronger communities.

🎉 Today marks the first week of our Fall Programs 2026!

There’s something special about the beginning of a new Sages & Seekers program. The nerves come out. There’s anticipation about meeting someone new. And there’s that wonderful mix of excitement and uncertainty that comes with sharing your time and your story with a person from another generation.

Our advice to both Sages and Seekers is simple:

Be authentic. Share your story. Show up fully. And have fun!

The most meaningful connections often begin when we simply give ourselves permission to be curious, listen deeply, and be ourselves.

We’re so excited to see the conversations, friendships, discoveries, and stories that unfold this fall. 💛
