APCF's 2026 scholarship season is a wrap: $718,500 awarded to 231 students, selected from over 3,500 applications submitted by students across 40 states, through our 17 scholarship partners.

Since 2011, corporations, family foundations, and individuals have come together with APCF to award more than $4.1 million in scholarships to over 1,135 low-income students nationwide. This year, we're grateful to our 17 scholarship donors whose support made these awards possible.

Ready to partner with APCF and help more students reach their dream of higher education? Corporations, banks, family foundations, and individual donors can launch a customized scholarship program of their own. Learn more: https://www.apcf.org/scholarships

The 2026 APCF Operating Grant provides flexible operating support starting at $5,000 to nonprofits delivering culturally appropriate, in-language services across Southern California. Applications are open August 12 through September 30, 2026.

Your organization may be a fit if you operate with an annual budget under $1 million, serve one of our 10 Southern California counties (Imperial, Kern, Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Diego, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, or Ventura), and employ at least one full-time staff member.

Apply through our online portal. Returning applicants and Network Agencies should log in with their existing account rather than creating a new one. Questions go to Rachel Benitez, Data Manager, at [email protected].

Give in May is a national fundraiser with hundreds of participating nonprofits. This year, two of our network agencies placed among the top: United Cambodian Community for Most Dollars Raised and Leadership Education for Asian Pacifics for Most Unique Donors.

On Wednesday, September 9 at 10:00 AM PT, hear directly from them. Susana Sngiem, Executive Director, United Cambodian Community (UCC), and Linda Akutagawa, Executive Director, Leadership Education for Asian Pacifics (LEAP), will walk through what worked for them: the planning that happens well before May, how they mobilize their boards and staff, and how they keep momentum going for a month straight. Expect real talk on donor outreach, matching gifts, and making the ask feel personal at scale.

America turns 250 this Fourth of July, and it is a milestone worth reflecting on.
This country has always been shaped by many communities. For over 30 years, APCF has worked alongside Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander communities across Southern California, supporting more than 85 nonprofits doing vital work every day.

From everyone at APCF, happy Fourth of July.

If you have joined us at the Gala over the years, you know John Chiang. Former California State Treasurer, longtime friend of APCF, and the voice that has carried our biggest night for years.

He did not have to take on the role, and he certainly did not have to keep coming back. But he has, again and again, and the evening is better for it.

It meant even more this year to watch him share the stage with co-MC Natalina Chen, helping lift up the next generation to follow in his footsteps.

Thank you, John. We appreciate you more than a single post can say.

A look back at a great night. These are a couple of our favorite moments from the Gala, where we honored UBS with the Corporate Philanthropy Award.

Behind every photo is a company that keeps choosing our communities, and a room full of people glad to celebrate it. Thank you to UBS, and to all of you who came out.

What a night. At our Giving for All Seasons Gala this month, we had the chance to honor UBS with our Corporate Philanthropy Award.

For our community, UBS has been more than a name on a sponsor list. They put real support behind the organizations and neighborhoods doing the everyday work, and they keep doing it year after year.

Here is a look back at the moment. Photos from the celebration are coming soon, so stay tuned.

A few moments from the night the Asian Pacific American Bar Association of Los Angeles County (APABA) received our Spirit of Giving Award at the Giving for All Seasons Gala.

APABA-LA earned it through years of pro bono clinics, housing rights help, and advocacy for community members across Los Angeles County who would otherwise face the system alone. Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate them, and to APABA-LA for the work that keeps going long after the night ended.

At this month's Giving for All Seasons Gala, we presented the Spirit of Giving Award to the Asian Pacific American Bar Association of Los Angeles County.

For years, APABA-LA has done the kind of legal work that rarely makes headlines: pro bono clinics, housing rights help, and advocacy for community members who would otherwise face the system alone. They turn legal expertise into access for the people across Los Angeles County who need it most.

Watch the video, and thank you to APABA-LA for giving your profession back to your community. More from the night, including photos from the Gala, coming soon.
