Something to THINK about with a START UP THEATRE...

We can't even get ANY CITY or STATE MONEY or MOST FOUNDATION GRANTS till after we've been in EXISTENCE TWO - (most often THREE YEARS!) FACT.

SO...actually it's not SURPRISING that I have NO CHOICE but to RETURN to THOSE WHO SUPPORTED ARTCO this PAST YEAR ALREADY and ASK AGAIN. And believe me - It's not FUN to ask AGAIN. (I hate it!)

But THIS IS WHY - nothing BIG theatrically - EVER GETS STARTED in THIS TOWN. Or almost anywhere really. It's the REASON WHY the only truly BIG ARTS ORGANIZATIONS we have have been here for 40 PLUS YEARS. Center Theatre, Pasadena Playhouse, The Geffen etc.

But we CAN DO THIS! We CAN make a new PROFESSIONAL THEATRE. We CAN HIRE EQUITY ACTORS and ORCHESTRAS - etc. and to DO ALL THAT? BOY AM I COST CONSCIOUS!

I SAVE EVERYWHERE I CAN - and put all the money into people and what's ONSTAGE. MACK & MABEL LOOKED ten times more expensive than it was. Favors were called in EVERYWHERE.

SO GUYS - If you GAVE to my GoFundMe last year to start ARTCO - I'm pleading with you! DON'T SHUT US OUT and IGNORE ME HERE. Please, just GIVE ONE MORE TIME for this FIRST SEASON. Once there's already BEEN a FIRST SEASON - I'll have TONS more FUNDING OPTIONS AVAILABLE for us. I PROMISE.
