This past Saturday, February 28, 2026, we held a community event at Pacoima Charter Elementary School focused on positive parenting.

During the event, we provided lunch and essential infant items to families in need, while children participated in various art projects.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to MEND, First 5 LA, and the Child & Family Guidance Center for their participation and for providing valuable resources to our community.

Dear Community,

You are invited to a free community event this Saturday, January 31, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.

The event is hosted by Los Angeles Baby Cooperative/Urban Partners Los Angeles, El Nido, Best Start SFV, and Immigo. We will be meeting at Tia Chucha’s Centro Cultural in the San Fernando Valley to discuss immigration resources and legal services.

In addition to the presentation, we will provide lunch and childcare activities. Diapers will also be available for families in need.

If you plan to attend, please Let us know by emailing or calling (info provided on the digital flyer), or direct message, so we can ensure we have enough food and the correct diaper sizes available for your family.

Sharing photos from the Annual Los Angeles Baby Cooperative Holiday Dinner, which was held for the children and families in the community we serve, on Tuesday, December 23rd.

We were able to provide toys for all the children and families who attend our weekly distribution. We are deeply grateful to our committed organizers and everyone who helped make this event run smoothly and successfully.

Sharing some photos from our recent “Navidad En El Barrio” holiday food distribution (December 13, 2025). This event was dedicated to supporting the families we serve every weekend, and I am pleased to share that we were able to provide enough food for the community we serve for the holiday season.

While we initially had concerns regarding our inventory levels, we were fortunately able to meet the needs of everyone who attended. We are incredibly grateful to the volunteers who came out to help, as well as those who stayed after the Groceries for Our Neighbors (UPLA) distribution to ensure the event’s success.

We are hosting our annual holiday dinner party for our community on Tuesday, December 23rd at 7:00 PM.

We are still currently collecting toy donations for this event to benefit our community in need.

Los Angeles Baby Cooperative is currently coordinating our annual toy drive to collect new toys for children in our community. These donations will benefit families in need during our upcoming Holiday Community Gathering on Tuesday, December 23rd.

We would be very grateful for any contribution you can make.

Los Angeles Baby Cooperative will be providing baskets of food to feed families in need this holiday season.

We are currently looking for volunteers to assist with logistics, specifically for:

1. Pallet Pickup: We urgently need a Penske-sized truck and volunteer driver to pick up the food pallets this Saturday at 7:00 AM in Los Angeles.

2. Meal Distribution: Volunteers are needed to help distribute the groceries/food.

Los Angeles Baby Cooperative received a certificate of recognition from Councilmember Padilla at this past weekend’s Health Fair. 🥇

I wanted to elaborate on the misconception that our organization is solely a “hand-out” service for those in need. Our mission extends far beyond immediate assistance; it’s about fostering longevity, building trust within the community, and breaking down barriers to facilitate genuine communication and connection among neighbors. In today’s society, it’s increasingly rare for neighbors to interact, offer mutual support, or look out for one another. This kind of communal engagement often requires the active involvement of community organizations and/or grassroots political groups to facilitate it. Our approach is to have acknowledgement that, as a society, we lack a deeply embedded culture of mutual care—a culture that is more evident in Indigenous communities, but often absent in colonized societies due to a more individualistic complex. We aim to challenge this and cultivate a profound sense of community responsibility and care for our CommUnity.
