We spend so much time taking care of everyone else. Breast Cancer Awareness Month is an important reminder to take care of ourselves, too. 💗

Listen to your body, follow recommended screenings, and don’t put your health off until later. Awareness and early detection can make a real difference and save lives.

Dear Haverot,

This weekend we dance with the Torah, reading its final words and beginning again with Bereish*t. Three years ago, October 7 fell on Simchat Torah, and the day meant for joy became one of the darkest in our people's history. Our tradition teaches that when we reach the end of the story, we start it again. We remember, and we continue.

In that spirit, please join us on October 14th for our October 7th commemoration with Karni Guez, a former IDF tank commander who led her soldiers into battle that morning to defend communities in the Gaza envelope. Karni will share her incredible story of courage and leadership, the decisions she faced on her own, and her reflections on what that day means for all of us.

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, a time to honor survivors, remember those we've lost, and stand together to say that everyone deserves to feel safe at home.

The need has never been more urgent:

In the United States, nearly 20 people are physically abused by an intimate partner every minute. That's more than 10 million people every year.

In Israel, over 5% of women (around 142,000) suffered physical violence at the hands of their partner in the last 12 months.

Behind every number is a person, a family, and a community. That's why we're asking you to show up.

One easy way to show your support: 𝘄𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗽𝘂𝗿𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝗧𝗵𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟮, 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗣𝘂𝗿𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗧𝗵𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆. When we wear purple together, we start conversations and let survivors know they're not alone.
