An incredible moment to close out Big Hollywood Reads… 📚

As National Reading Month comes to an end, we welcomed Johnson Hartig of as our final guest reader.

Johnson shared The Tale of Two Bad Mice by and The Boy Who Just Kept Drawing by , creating a powerful and emotional reading centered on kindness, generosity, and creativity.

It was the perfect way to wrap up this year’s program, reminding our students that stories don’t just teach us how to read…they help shape us into more compassionate humans!

Another great day for Big Hollywood Reads during National Reading Month 📚

We welcomed journalist as our next guest reader. She read with our students and really brought the story to life.

As a mom to a young son, Wendy connected instantly with the kids. After the reading, they had plenty of fun and curious questions about what it’s like to work in the news!

Moments like these help kids see how reading connects to the real world, big careers, and big dreams.

Guess who came through next for Big Hollywood Reads? 📚🏈

As National Reading Month continues, we welcomed Larrell Murchison, defensive end for the LA , as our next guest reader.

Larrell read two books, including , a favorite from his own childhood!

As you can see, these guys had fun! Sometimes reading time comes with a little silliness, and that joy and imagination are exactly what great stories are all about.

Initiatives like Big Hollywood Reads help our kids build confidence, strengthen literacy skills, and discover the joy of books.

This is your last chance.

Giving Tuesday week ends today, and we're still fighting to close our funding gap. Every Club member you see in these posts—and the 850 others like them—need you to act.

The reality: ❌ Federal and state funding: GONE ❌ 60% of our kids: Reading below grade level ❌ Many families: Can't afford childcare or meals ✅ This Club: Their ONLY safe place

Your gift TODAY keeps our doors open tomorrow.

$250. $500. $1,000. Whatever you can give—it all matters.

This is it. Give now: https://givebutter.com/QF8GKY

Gifts of $500+ get recognized on our donor wall. But more importantly, they get kids the future they deserve.

Don't let this week end without taking action. Our kids are counting on you.

Music. Art. Technology. Sports. Homework help. Hot meals. We provide the programs, space, and support that help our Club members explore their interests, build skills, and thrive—all in one place.

But without you, we may have to cut programs.

Giving Tuesday was Monday, but the crisis is every day. We're still short of our goal, and time is running out.

Can you give today? https://givebutter.com/QF8GKY

Even $100 helps. Even $50 matters. Every gift keeps the music playing.
