Han pasado muchas cosas en las últimas dos semanas.

La reunión de anoche fue una oportunidad para hacer una pausa y dedicar tiempo a lo que los movimientos necesitan para sobrevivir: planear, aprender, reflexionar, crear estrategias y volver a conectar.

Un recordatorio de que los movimientos no se construyen solamente en marchas o protestas. Se construyen a través de relaciones. A través de la confianza. A través de personas que siguen presentándose una y otra vez para apoyarse mutuamente.

El trabajo continúa, pero también continúa la comunidad que lo hace posible.

A "collateral" arrest is "when agents detain migrants they aren’t targeting but instead encounter during a street sweep or raid. Such arrests accounted for more than a quarter of all ICE apprehensions in Vermont between August 2025, when the agency began counting them, and March 10. That’s one of the higher rates in the country. Seven of the nine people arrested this way had no criminal record."

Immigration and Customs Enforcement has a skeleton crew in Vermont but uses U.S. Border Patrol and “collateral” encounters to drive a spike in arrests, Vermont Public found.

For too long, outdated procurement laws have forced municipalities to prioritize the lowest bidder when purchasing food for schools, hospitals, shelters, correctional facilities, and other public institutions, bypassing New York farms and food producers.

gives municipalities the freedom to:

✅ Prioritize purchasing from New York farmers and food producers

✅ Pay up to 10% more for New York products

✅ Consider factors like workforce standards, local economic impact, environmental sustainability, and supply chain resilience.
