Congratulations to Ethiopia Habtemariam on her new role as President of Music at HYBE. This is a moment that represents not just career growth, but cultural significance.

What many may not know is that Ethiopia’s commitment to mentorship is a major reason Black Girls Behind Music exists. Long before BGBM was an organization, she was an example, showing what it looks like to lead with excellence, integrity, and an open hand for those coming around you.

Her presence in this industry gave language to a possibility that many Black women didn’t yet see reflected back to them. BGBM was built to extend that visibility into access, education, and community because representation is powerful and mentorship is TRANSFORMATIVE!

As she steps into this next chapter, we celebrate and thank God for the standard she’s set, the doors she’s opened and the women she’s poured into.

Thank you Ethiopia for being proof! 🫶🏾🙏🏾
