An indie artist’s perspective on the thing that’s just as important as your craft: who’s around you!

Here’s a recap of what Tallen shared:

Community grows your artistry. Surround yourself with creatives you trust, and you can workshop ideas out loud, get real feedback, and refine your vision before it goes public.
Follow what excites you. Community introduces you to new people and new stories — when something sparks inspiration, lean into it.

Tallen also shared their 10 Commandments of Community Building — a helpful framework for building creative relationships that last! Access these commandments & more by watching the full YouTube replay 🎶⭐️ -> https://youtu.be/4yGwCof_QXI?si=NJJcPuUYcuR0Mj-v

There was a time in music where some labels and companies viewed being q***r as a risk, forcing artists to hide parts of themselves. But artists like Elton John became staples for the music industry as they openly expressed their identity. From arena-filling pop stars to rising independent acts, LGBTQIA+ artists are actively shaping music as a safe space for q***r representation. 💚🩷❤️💛💜💙🧡🩵

Michèle Vice-Maslin () broke down two things artists consistently need support with: sync strategy and metadata. → Go non-exclusive. Spread your music across multiple libraries and pitch supervisors directly. Exclusivity narrows your options. → Fill in your ‘Grouping’ metadata. That’s where your publishing company and PRO affiliation live — and supervisors need that info. → Add contact info to your Comments field. An email at minimum. A phone number if possible. Make yourself findable.

Happy Replay Wednesday!
Stockholm-based producer and sync specialist, Andreas Smidelöv hosted a behind-the-scenes production workshop where he shared his screen and took us through his actual workflow live.

Here’s what stood out:

Edit points are everything: build in natural, strategic breaks so video editors can cut or fade your music cleanly. It’s what makes a track sync-ready.

Use reference tracks wisely: draw a little from several songs — never too much from one, or you’re just copying it.

Tools he recommends: Spitfire LABS & Cubase

John and Sonnet from have been incredible supporters of Pandion Music Foundation since the very beginning. 🧡

Early on in our workshop series, they joined us for a conversation on sync licensing that gave our community so much more than just “3 tips for sync success.” They shared honest, actionable advice that still resonates with independent artists today.

Looking back at this replay, there’s one essential thing they said that still stands out: When you have community, you stay in it.

Sync can feel intimidating when you’re starting out, but having people you can lean on makes all the difference. John and Sonnet continue to be trusted voices for so many artists navigating the sync world, and we truly can’t recommend 2indie enough to musicians interested in pitching their music for sync opportunities.

If you haven’t watched this replay yet, this is your sign to visit our Youtube page and tune in. 🎬

Special thank you to Kayte Deioma for this beautiful photo of John & Sonnet captured during our Sip & Supe event earlier this year!
