Join us as we participate in the country's biggest 1-day food drive, helping make a difference to help fight in our communities. As Women's History Month comes to an end, Labor Community Services proudly recognizes Liliana Perez, Senior Director of Cultural Affairs for the Los Angeles Chargers.

In her critical role at the Chargers, Liliana is responsible for building strategic partnerships within California's dynamic and versatile economic, cultural and social sectors. In this role, she is responsible for managing community engagement, especially with the Chargers' valued neighbors. For LCS, Liliana has been an invaluable partner in the fight against . Last year, with the support of Liliana and the Chargers, LCS raised over $300,000 which we utilized in helping victims of the LA Wildfires.

As the Executive Director for the Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights (CHIRLA), Angelica has transformed a coalition of social service providers into an organization that empowers immigrants to engage in advocacy on their own behalf. In this respect, she has blazed a pioneering trail among immigrant coalitions around the country and has propelled other immigrant rights groups to follow her lead.

During Women's History Month, Labor Community Services proudly recognizes Deliana Speights for her longstanding dedication to working families across Los Angeles and Southern California.

As Secretary-Treasurer of UFCW Local 1428 and a member of the Labor Community Services Board of Directors, Deliana has spent decades advocating for workers and strengthening the labor movement. Since 1990, she has believed that truly listening to members’ concerns and improving their lives through collective bargaining, strong legislative policies, and political victories is essential to building a stronger union.

Deliana also encourages members to become active in their union—whether by serving as shop stewards, attending membership meetings, participating in organizing campaigns, or standing together at rallies—because she knows that worker power comes from unity and participation.

As President of UFCW770 and a member of the Labor Community Services Board of Directors, Kathy has dedicated decades to advocating for grocery and retail workers throughout the region. Since 1990, she has brought grit, determination, and deep commitment to the members of UFCW 770, consistently standing at the bargaining table to fight for fair contracts and to protect the health care and pension benefits that workers and their families rely on.
