Labor Community Services extends our heartfelt thanks to our sponsors, attendees, volunteers, staff, honorees, and partners who made Labor Community Services' 6th Annual Dolores Huerta Spirit Awards an unforgettable evening.

On Friday, September 18, 2026, we gathered under the stars at LA Plaza de Cultura y Artes at Placita Olvera to celebrate the people and organizations whose leadership, service, and commitment continue to strengthen working families and communities throughout Los Angeles.

We invite you to visit our website at https://lcs-la.org/6th-dh-awards to view the photos from the event along with our Digital Program Book.

Thank you again for helping us celebrate our efforts to assist families facing food insecurity throughout Los Angeles County and provide hope to those in our communities who need it the most.

School's out for Summer! But here at LCS, we want to help our students be ready for the upcoming school year by hosting a school supply drive! Your donation of school supplies will be distributed at our upcoming August 19th food distribution at IATSE Local 80 in Burbank. You can participate by: 1) Dropping off school supplies at the Los Angeles County Federation of Labor, AFL-CIO; 2) If you're a labor union, you can bring the school supplies to the next House of Labor meeting in August. We hope that you can help us give our kids a good academic start this Fall!
