What an incredible and productive day at our Government Contracting Bootcamp!

We were truly happy to see so many small business owners come together, ready to learn, ask questions, make connections, and discover new opportunities for growth.

Events like this remind us why we do what we do. At NEW Women’s Business Center**, we are proud to be a resource for entrepreneurs and to help make complicated topics like government contracting, certifications, procurement, and business readiness easier to understand and navigate.

Yesterday, I was honored to join Los Angeles County Supervisor Lindsey P. Horvath for a wonderful celebration recognizing her leadership and service to our community.
Supervisor Horvath was sworn into the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors on December 5, 2022. Just one year later, she became the youngest-ever Chair of the Board, as well as the first millennial to serve in that role. She is also currently the only renter serving on the all-women Board, bringing an important perspective to conversations about housing, economic opportunity, and the future of Los Angeles County.
The Third Supervisorial District she represents covers approximately 446 square miles, stretching from the Ventura County line to Santa Monica and from Hollywood to Sylmar and San Fernando, representing more than 2 million residents.
It was wonderful to be there yesterday to celebrate Supervisor Horvath and recognize the impact of her leadership across such a diverse and dynamic part of Los Angeles County.
Congratulations, Supervisor Horvath, and thank you for your continued service to our communities!
