🌟Nearing the end of June: Continuing FREEDOM🌟

Though the end of June is nearing in about five days, and Juneteenth celebrations may have passed, the true significance of this day continues. 🖤

Juneteenth, which began in Galveston, Texas, marks the day in 1865 when the last enslaved people in the U.S. finally learned of their freedom. 🔓

This occurred more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation.

It’s more than a moment in history; it’s a reminder that the fight for freedom and equality is ongoing, and honoring that truth is something we carry every day. ✊🏾

So, while June is ending, our freedoms that we celebrate will continue on through every day, every month, every year, every lifetime. We must continue to share the celebration of our FREEDOMS. 🖤

Juneteenth is the celebration of our accomplishments, the challenges we’ve conquered, the places we’ve gone. ✊🏾

Yet, Juneteenth is also a celebration of our future. The things we are heading towards accomplishing, the setbacks we are working to overcome to move ourselves forward. 🎉

Juneteenth is our acknowledgment of our FREEDOM. We stand here today, having pushed through the many hardships our community has endured for so long. ❤️

Celebrate FREEDOM today, and let’s work towards celebrating our future FREEDOMS of tomorrow! 🎉

While we are saddened we cannot celebrate in-person with you all this year for Juneteenth, we still wish to acknowledge and share the importance of Juneteenth and why it should be celebrated in all of its glory! 🖤

In preparation for tomorrow, we are providing a Juneteenth Toolkit. This toolkit opens up the history, importance, and tips on Juneteenth and how to support and celebrate! 🎉

We wish you all a wonderful Juneteenth holiday tomorrow. While we may not be celebrating together physically, the spirit and cherished freedoms we have accomplished throughout history is felt among all of us. 🖤

We recognize the Black and Brown trailblazers who helped lead the way, and we uplift every voice using art, as well as themselves, to fight for truth, joy, and liberation. ✊🏾

To be loud, to be seen, to be fully yourself, is revolutionary. 🏳️‍🌈

This June, we stand in solidarity. We celebrate creativity. We fight for justice, and we celebrate pride! 🖤

4th Annual Juneteenth Celebration: FREEDOM kickoff on Thursday, June 19th, 2025, from 4pm to 9pm at 910 Kinney Blvd., Venice, California! 🎉

From June 19-28, we’ll transform 910 Abbot Kinney Blvd. into a vibrant hub of Black expression, where every brushstroke, melody, and conversation is an act of resistance and reverence. ✊🏾

Here is the official lineup of incredibly talented artists who will be joining us, as we present:
“FREEDOM: A Juneteenth Art Exhibition”

This art exhibition reflects on the African-American journey towards freedom in the past, present, and future. 🖤

In honor of Juneteenth, this exhibition will last from June 19-28, and focus on sharing and showcasing the perspectives of freedom by the various Black Artists listed! 🎨

Come see breathtaking art from the so, very talented artists like (art piece on left) and (sculpture on right)! 🖤

In the following days, we will provide more sneak peeks from the amazing artists who will be showcasing at the exhibition!🖌️

The Juneteenth Art Exhibition will kick off on June 19th, starting with an opening reception! In June 28th, we will close our exhibition with a guided tour and panel discussion! Throughout June 19th through June 28th, the exhibition will be open to the public!🫂

During this exhibition, you will be able to experience incredible art from artists like Buena Johnson, the creator of the amazing artwork you see throughout the slides! Buena is an incredible artist who we are so grateful to work with! 🖤
