Dmytro dreams of going to school in his hometown in Odesa region. He says he won’t return to kindergarten because he is seven years old now! Moreover, a boy plans to ride a bike to school like an adult 🥰

But now Dmytro is in Kyiv, where he has been fighting blood cancer for over a year.

He completed his inpatient treatment and no longer needs to be at the hospital 24/7. He visits doctors from time to time for regular check-ups and other procedures.

Dmytro’s family, like many others, couldn’t afford accommodation near the hospital in the center of Kyiv. But they need to stay close to the hospital not only for regular visits but also to get there fast in case of an emergency. We provide such families with the foundation's outpatient apartments 🙌🏻

The program of outpatient housing also provides families of children with cancer with accommodation in Lviv, where the biggest regional pediatric oncology center is located.

This is possible because of your help. We thank you, dear friends, for supporting children at every stage of their battle against cancer 💙💛

💬 "He is always smiling," says the mother of 11-year-old Bohdan.

Bohdan is a very active kid. At home, he never "disappears" at the smartphone for a long time. Instead, he plays football, rides a bike, and fishes.

Now the boy is treated for cancer of the lymph nodes at the Kyiv Regional Oncology Center, but he doesn't sit still in the hospital either – he walks with his mother from time to time. The disease did not remove the smile from his face 💔

Bohdan dreams of getting well and becoming a football player. Also – goes fishing with his grandfather again and returns to school, where his classmates and the Ukrainian language teacher are waiting for him. This subject is his favorite 🥰

Veronika is seven years old. She likes scrambled eggs with tomatoes and cats. She dreams of having wings to fly into space to aliens.

Also, the girl wants to invite guests and eat something delicious together 🥰

We are glad this dream will finally come true because Veronika has completed long-term treatment in the oncohematology department of Okhmatdyt Children's Hospital and is returning home 🙌🏻

Thank you to everyone who supports children in the fight against cancer and helps make their dreams come true ❤️

Blood cancer is considered the most common cancer in pediatric oncology.

📌 It accounts for over 28% of all cancer cases in children and is usually found in children between the ages of 2 and 5 and in teens.

The beginning of the disease can easily be missed since blood cancer symptoms are similar to those of other non-oncological diseases. At this point, parental vigilance can help detect the disease on time and begin the treatment 🙌🏻

It is always better to get acquainted with symptoms in advance and seek a specialist after noticing one or more of the following:

👉🏻 Regular nausea and vomiting
👉🏻 Frequent headaches
👉🏻 Frequent nosebleeds
👉🏻 Rapid fatigue, weakness, and a noticeable decrease in activity for young children
👉🏻 Frequent infections
👉🏻 Frequent "unexplained" fevers
👉🏻 Bone and joint pain
👉🏻 Poor appetite and weight loss
👉🏻 Persistent bruises on the body, especially in hard-to-hit areas
👉🏻 Swollen lymph nodes

And remember: awareness is the key to a healthy childhood and timely treatment ❤️

When the child battles the disease, finishing treatment at the oncology department is a crucial step toward recovery. Children are always looking forward to it, and we try to make this event as festive as possible 🥰

After spending several months at the hospital, seven-year-old Nadya is now ready to move to the next step of her battle — outpatient treatment. She no longer has to spend all her time in the oncology department and can finally go home 🙌🏻

That day has become a true celebration! Nadya had a beautiful cake, and a puppet theatre created an excellent mood for all children there ❤️

We are grateful to you and your tremendous support for making such stories come true. With your help, children battling the disease are constantly becoming stronger in their fight!

It has been 365 days since the life of Ukrainians have changed. 365 days since Ukrainian children battling cancer appeared amidst two wars at once.

This year was challenging. We tried to adapt to the new reality and continue supporting children fighting the disease under any circumstances. And it became possible thanks to friends like you 🙌🏻

You have become a reliable shoulder for children and their families at any stage of their treatment. Your help gave an opportunity to provide them with all the required assistance — despite their location or the lasting full-scale war.

Each donation has become a huge support for children battling cancer in Ukraine or staying abroad. And we are deeply grateful for that.

Thank you for bringing the healthy childhood of these kids much closer 💙💛

Every day hundreds of Ukrainian children continue their battle against cancer. Even though the treatment is exhausting and difficult, kids like Sashko remain very strong 💪🏻

Sashko is 11 years old. One of the boy’s biggest hobbies is football. He often played it with his friends and even organized their own football matches. But then, Sashko was diagnosed with cancer.

Instead of playing on a football field, Sashko now spends all the time in the hospital ward. And instead of seeing his friends, he has dozens of regular examinations.

Sashko’s big dream is to beat cancer and get back to playing football. With your support, this will become possible! ❤️

While Ukraine is fighting for freedom, hundreds of Ukrainian children have one more opponent to fight — cancer. And victory has become one of their sincerest wishes 🙌🏻

Seven-year-old Bohdan is fighting a severe blood disease. After months in the hospital, he finally took another step by starting outpatient treatment.

Which means, now continues his treatment at home most of the time, visiting Kyiv in case of regular examinations.

Bohdan enjoys playing with LEGO. He often arranges game-like fierce battles, where Ukraine constantly wins. And today he also wishes to become a winner. In his own fight.

With your help, he will get a chance to do so 💙💛

When the child starts outpatient treatment, they no longer have to be at the hospital 24/7. Instead, they visit the hospital for regular check-ups and other procedures.

If this child's family does not live in the city where the hospital is located, one of the Foundation's programs comes in handy 🙌🏻

The program of outpatient housing provides families of children with cancer living in other cities with temporary accommodations to continue life-saving treatment.

The family of 16-year-old Varvara is the one who lives in such accommodation in Kyiv. The girl herself dreams the most of beating cancer and traveling ❤️‍🩹

There is a fig tree near her parent's house. Many years ago, a friend of the family brought it from Crimea.

💬 "I'd like to visit our peaceful Crimea and see its beauty. I want to travel all over Ukraine after our victory," says Varvara.

Besides this, the girl enjoys drawing and knitting. She admits that she is interested in becoming a designer to start creating websites of her own!

Varvara is continuing her treatment, and we are grateful to friends like you for making it possible. With your support, we believe that the big dreams of Ukrainian children like Varvara will come true 💙💛

Cancer treatment is long. But so is the adaptation after the recovery. So when children overcome cancer, they still need support to make this adaptation less stressful 🙌🏻

For this reason, the Foundation has a psychosocial rehabilitation program.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Within it, we organize group activities for children and teenagers, provide families with the required psychological support, and conduct group art therapy sessions for parents.

One of the traditional activities is the outdoor camp for cancer survivors' families, where they can spend a couple of days among people who went through the same life experiences.

🗣 Besides this, there are children's and teenagers' clubs in Kyiv and Lviv, where they discuss different topics and receive the required help in adaptation and socialization after continuous treatment.

Recently, one of the club's groups celebrated its graduation, which has become a special moment for each member ❤️

And we thank you, dear friends, for supporting children at every stage of their treatment and even after recovery!
