From world-class facilities to the next generation of infrastructure, union construction continues to set the standard for quality, safety, and craftsmanship across Southern California.

Today's North Hollywood to Pasadena Bus Rapid Transit groundbreaking was a pivotal moment for a project offering a sustainable east-west connection to jobs, schools, and services across both valleys. Executive Secretary Ernesto Medrano was joined by numerous community leaders at this morning's ceremony, including Iron Workers Business Representative Johnny Escobedo, LA County Fifth District Supervisor Kathryn Barger and Metro Los Angeles Board Member Ara Najarian.

Hugo is a champion for bold, community-driven policies, and we're glad to work with him as we continue to build Los Angeles.

This Memorial Day, we remember their courage, their service and their lasting impact on the freedoms we hold today. We also recognize the veterans in the building trades whose continued dedication, discipline and leadership strengthen our unions and communities every day.

May 18-22 is Infrastructure Week, a time to recognize the projects, investments, and skilled workers building a stronger America.

Infrastructure investment delivers real returns nationally and for our communities across Southern California. The U.S. Department of Transportation estimates that every $1 billion invested in highway and bridge infrastructure supports at least 13,000 jobs across industries, from construction and manufacturing to logistics.

For the LA/OC Building Trades, is a reminder that every investment in infrastructure is also an investment in the skilled union workforce building our future.
