On Sunday, supporters gathered in the Hollywood Hills for the fifth annual A Million Reasons, benefiting the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and Oceana.

For the Food Bank, proceeds from the event help support our work to provide nutritious food to neighbors throughout Los Angeles County. We’re grateful to everyone who came together to support our mission and Oceana’s work to protect and restore the world’s oceans.

Bryan knows firsthand what it means to need a little extra support.

At one point, he and his girlfriend sought food assistance at North Hollywood Interfaith Food Pantry. Today, he’s giving back to the community that once helped them.

His story also reminds us that food insecurity doesn’t always look the way we might expect. It can affect people from all walks of life, and sometimes all it takes is an unexpected expense, a change in employment or another difficult season to make putting food on the table harder.

That’s why places like North Hollywood Interfaith Food Pantry are so important. They offer neighbors food, support and dignity when they need it most.
