Bigs Class putting in WORK 💪⚽️

Our Bigs Program (ages 5–10) is where skills, confidence, and game awareness really take off. One of the key techniques we focus on is shielding — teaching players how to use their body to protect the ball and keep defenders from winning it back. Knees bent, body between the opponent and the ball, strong base, and smart turns out of pressure.

Shielding isn’t just about strength — it builds composure, spatial awareness, and decision-making under pressure. Our Bigs learn how to stay calm, control the ball with purpose, and transition from defense to attack with confidence.

At Captain Kicks, we develop technically strong players while keeping it positive, supportive, and FUN. Competitive energy, teamwork, resilience, and a true love for the game — that’s what Bigs is all about ❤️⚽️

So special getting the whole team together today — but even more special celebrating Coach Rich 🤝💜 After four incredible years leading the Valley, he’s officially retiring. Seeing everyone come out just shows the impact he’s had on our coaches, our kids, and our entire community.
