5 YEARS OF CAPTAIN KICKS ⚽️🎉

What started in the middle of a pandemic with a few soccer balls and a lot of optimism has turned into something pretty incredible.

5 years later:
⚽️ 15,000+ kids
🏫 120+ schools
🌳 5 park programs
🥅 Countless goals, smiles, high fives, and celebrations

We’ve been lucky enough to watch thousands of kids build confidence, make friends, learn teamwork, and have a blast doing it.

A huge thank you to all of the families, schools, coaches, and kids who have been part of the journey so far.

5 years down. We’re just getting warmed up. 💪⚽️

Bigs Class putting in WORK 💪⚽️

Our Bigs Program (ages 5–10) is where skills, confidence, and game awareness really take off. One of the key techniques we focus on is shielding — teaching players how to use their body to protect the ball and keep defenders from winning it back. Knees bent, body between the opponent and the ball, strong base, and smart turns out of pressure.

Shielding isn’t just about strength — it builds composure, spatial awareness, and decision-making under pressure. Our Bigs learn how to stay calm, control the ball with purpose, and transition from defense to attack with confidence.

At Captain Kicks, we develop technically strong players while keeping it positive, supportive, and FUN. Competitive energy, teamwork, resilience, and a true love for the game — that’s what Bigs is all about ❤️⚽️

So special getting the whole team together today — but even more special celebrating Coach Rich 🤝💜 After four incredible years leading the Valley, he’s officially retiring. Seeing everyone come out just shows the impact he’s had on our coaches, our kids, and our entire community.

We’re so lucky to have had him as part of the Captain Kicks family. Thank you, Coach Rich, for everything — you’ll always be a part of our team ⚽️💛
