Our Mission:
To utilize expressive arts as a platform for youth to cry out for social justice in the community WHAT WE DO:
• Provide a safe place for youth to express themselves creatively and emotionally, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, socio-economic background, age, disability, national origin, and religion.
• Educate youth on issues of poverty, diversity, sexuality, and spirituality.
• Promote the values of justice and freedom in society.
• Develop leaders who will speak up, serve, and impact their community in positive ways.
• Serve as an advocate for education to the youth, offering tutoring and pathways to additional educational services.
• Provide optional Bible study for those interested in learning more about Christianity and social justice. PROGRAMS
After-school program
Our after-school program gives youth the opportunity to
participate in workshops, use a dance studio, create and record music, access a computer lab and tutors for studying, and socialize in a safe and supervised environment with other youth. partners with Athletes in Action to participate in Urban Project Los Angeles, an outreach program giving youth real-life experience by pairing them with community-based organizations that address the social issues of LA. Youth receive teaching from a Christian perspective on the values of service, justice, and compassion, as well as training in leadership, teamwork, and decision-making. operates a camp for kids ages 6-14. CryOut! youth leaders and staff teach music, dance, visual arts, and Bible verses in a high-energy, fun environment. Camp typically ends with the creation of an artistic group project, such as a music video.
