Dharma Drum Mountain Los Angeles Center Dharma Drum Mountain Buddhist Association Dharma Drum Mountain Los Angeles Center was founded in 1992 and we have been at our property in El Monte since 2012.

Dharma Drum Mountain (DDM) is a non-profit Buddhist organization dedicated to the protection and cultivation of our spiritual environment. Founded in 1989 by the Venerable Master Sheng Yen (1930-2009), an internationally renowned Chan master who inherited both the Caodong and Linji lineages, Dharma Drum Mountain promotes Chinese Buddhism and Chan meditation practices. Master Sheng Yen was actively

involved in activities across the globe for many years and engaged with world religious leaders through multiple forums. DDM headquarters is located in New Taipei City, Taiwan with centers and branches in North America, Europe, Asia and Oceania.
