This International Women’s Day, we honor the enduring legacy of women in music with a beautiful performance of “Spring on Snow Mountain” by Shang-E Fan (范上娥), a renowned Chinese composer and guzheng performer celebrated for integrating traditional musical elements into her works. Co-composed with Ge Shuzhen (戈晓曾), this piece is one of Fan’s most famous creations, inspired by the natural beauty of Tibet and its cultural heritage.

Please enjoy segments from this beautiful composition, interpreted by guzheng soloist Xinci He (贺心慈) and the Pacific Academy Foundation Orchestra!
