National Cake Day is celebrated every November 26 of the year.

Here's a fun fact about Cakes! Modern cakes were baked in the mid-17th century! Back then, cakes were normally round and filled with fruits and nuts. It was not until the 1920's, the first CANNED cake mix was produced! Can you think of a cake mix being sold in a can, rather than our modern-day boxed mixes?

Did you know that there is a full week to celebrate games and puzzles?!

National Game and Puzzle week lands on November 20 through the 26th every year. The days leading up and after the holidays, all games and puzzles should act as an inspiration for spending quality time with our families and loved ones. Being present with one another betters bonds as it bring awareness of the connection.

Cures of Colors is thrilled to partner with the Newport Beach Film Festival! In addition to celebrating their 22nd anniversary, the NBFF will be hosting various events honoring those in the filmmaking industry. In years prior, the festival has held 50,000 attendees and nearly 200 events during an annual season!

NBFF prides itself in being a hub for creatives - showcasing a diverse collection of works from filmmakers of all backgrounds. Standing behind their message of inclusivity and diversity, we’re proud to support two LGBTQ+ films being showcased at the festival. (Details below!)

We’re very excited to announce that our latest coloring book “Happy Pride!” is available for preorder on the Cures of Colors website. Children are always curious and willing to explore and approach the world around them. “Happy Pride!” introduces children to the LGBTQ+ community and all the beautiful and diverse identities it encompasses. Alongside amazing illustrations, this book addresses what it means to be LGBTQ+, how it can impact your child’s life, and how they can be an ally.

Fostering an open and grounded conversation with your little ones about the LGBTQ+ community sets the stage for a healthy, inclusive environment throughout their development. Here’s to building empathy and understanding for the diverse world around us!

Coloring books launched since starting our nonprofit in early November now include COVID-19 (FREE download )and Family Dynamics.

Many more coloring books will be coming throughout the year addressing social and emotional issues such as BLM, LGBTQ, Cancer, Mental Health, Loss/Death, Bullying, Animal Conservation, and more!
