☕ SIP TEA: You’re one of ONE.

You have the oil. You have the vision. And yes… God gave YOU the juice. 🙌🏾

What’s been placed inside of you wasn’t meant for anybody else to duplicate. You are the originator not the imitation!

So stop looking around for confirmation of what God already put inside of you.

Trust the vision. Protect the oil. Walk in your purpose.

Because when God gives you the juice, nobody else can make your flavor. ☕✨

3R’s of Abolition

09/16/2026

Repair. Restore. Rebuild. 💜

At Abolitionist Sanctuary, these three words guide the transformative work we do:

🟣 We repair harm.
🟣 We restore relationships.
🟣 We rebuild more just and equitable communities.

Because real change takes more than talking about what’s broken. It requires people willing to do the work.

The 3R’s summarize our theory of change and also how we define abolition!

Happy Mother’s Day from Abolitionist Sanctuary!

Our organization is founded on the survival stories of poor single Black mothers, like my own, Carol Mercedes Smith 🕊️. We celebrate church mothers who pray for us, community mothers who stand in the gap for us, and carceral mothers who make a way out of no way for us.

Abolitionist Sanctuary will continue to shift narratives, give mutual aid, and train communities in abolitionist values until every mother can meet their basic needs and thrive in a world beyond poverty, punishment, policing, and prisons.

On Sunday, April 12th, churches and faith communities across the country will unite for Abolitionist Sanctuary National Sunday—a sacred moment to confront the moral crisis of mass incarceration and the criminalization of impoverished Black motherhood.
This is more than a service.
It is a movement. A witness. A call to righteousness.

We are inviting your church to stand with congregations nationwide and dedicate your Sunday service to truth, justice, and transformation.
