From September 15 to October 15, we celebrate honoring the histories, cultures, resilience, and contributions of Hispanic and Latino/a/e/x communities. 🌿✨

At WE ARE R.I.S.E. Inc., we honor the many identities and stories within these communities, Hispanic, Latino, Latina, Latine, Latinx, Afro-Latino, Indigenous, Caribbean, Central American, South American, and beyond.

Our heritage lives in the traditions we preserve, the stories we share, and the generations who carry them forward. May our girls remain curious about their history, proud of their identity, and empowered by their roots. 💜

A new chapter, a new community, and so much to be grateful for. 💜🌿

Celebrating our 1st Annual Memphis Tea Party was a special milestone as our inaugural Tennessee mentees experienced a WE ARE R.I.S.E. signature event for the very first time. 🌸✨

We are grateful for the opportunity to expand our reach, plant new roots, and bring the heart of our mission to Memphis. Seeing our community grow beyond state lines is a reminder that this is only the beginning.

So proud of our Memphis mentees and so excited for what’s ahead! 💜

🌱 Rooted Together, Rising Together 🌸

Each year, our Annual Tea Party reminds us that before a girl rises, she is first rooted in a community that believes in her. 💜

Last month, we celebrated our 8th Annual Tea Party: Rooted Together, Rising Together, honoring the stories, people, and experiences that shape us.

We shared stories. We celebrated our graduating mentees. And during our Circle of Affirmation, the adults in the room poured words of love, encouragement, and wisdom into our girls, reminding them that they are seen, supported, and capable of becoming all they imagine. ✨

Stories were shared. Milestones were celebrated. Generations poured into one another.

Thank you to every mentee, family, mentor, speaker, partner, and supporter who made this day so special.

What do you need to feel your best for your mental health? 💜

Each year, in honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, we host Mindfulness in May, one of our signature events dedicated to creating space for families and mentees to slow down, reconnect, and prioritize their mental and emotional well-being. Through mindfulness, movement, reflection, and shared experiences, participants gained practical tools they can carry with them long after the event.

We believe equitable access to healing begins by fostering spaces where people feel safe, seen, valued, and empowered to care for themselves and one another. When we invest in the well-being of caregivers and families, we strengthen the foundation that allows girls to grow with confidence, resilience, and support.

This past Saturday, we hosted our Mindfulness in May event in honor of Mental Health Awareness Month.
 
In partnership with and .still.move , and sponsored in part by ARDI, we created a healing-centered space for our mentees and their families to pause, breathe, and reconnect.
 
More than an event, it was an opportunity for families to feel seen, understood, and supported in how stress, trauma, and everyday pressures show up in the body and in our relationships. It opened space for honest reflection, emotional release, and learning new ways to care for ourselves and one another.
 
We are grateful to every mentee, caregiver, and partner who joined us in choosing healing, presence, and restoration.

Rewinding back to RISE Girls Week as our admin team visited partnering school sites across Los Angeles!

We loved reflecting on the different approaches each site mentor brings to their work and witnessing the genuine connections being built with mentees across every campus. 🌟

This past Saturday, we celebrated R.I.S.E. Girls Day: Rooted Together, Rising Together 💜 in honor of six years of incorporation, bringing together mentees from across our partner school sites.

Many stories. One R.I.S.E.
The afternoon was grounded in connection, reflection, and community as mentees came together to build relationships and create meaningful quilts representing their identities, stories, and symbols.
Each piece stood beautifully on its own, yet together they formed a collective expression of who we are as a village.

Watching the girls connect reminded us that they are never on this journey alone, they belong.

What began as a simple afternoon of activities grew into powerful moments of unity, where barriers softened and new bonds formed across schools.

They left with more than memories; they left with a deeper sense of belonging, connection, and community within the R.I.S.E. village. 💫
