Swimming is more than just fun in the water 🌊💙 It builds confidence, supports educational development, teaches life-saving skills, encourages discipline, and opens doors to opportunities far beyond the pool.

At Swim Up Hill, we believe every child, family, and community deserves access to swim education because swimming is a right, not a privilege. No matter your age or stage in life, learning to swim creates safer communities and brighter futures.

Sun, smiles, and some serious firsts 🌊💙

Our latest Swim Family Event was one for the books! We’re so grateful to partner with an incredible community—Los Angeles County, Supervisor Holly J. Mitchell’s office, Black Surfers Collective, One With The Ocean, and our amazing lifeguards—to bring water safety and swim education directly to the families who need it most.

From kids getting comfortable in the water to families learning lifesaving skills together, the energy was unmatched. And shoutout to Aqua Dolfino for sponsoring our book reading area 📚—because learning happens both in and out of the water!

This is what it’s all about: access, opportunity, and building confidence one splash at a time. We’re just getting started 🙌

Join us for a day of learning, laughter, and life-saving skills 🌊💙

On April 25, Swim Up Hill is teaming up with incredible partners to bring a hands-on ocean and water safety experience to local students! From surfboard basics to microplastic exploration and our signature Bowl Method, this family-friendly event is all about building confidence in and around the water.

We’re proud to help bridge the gap between curiosity and swim competency creating safe, empowered future swimmers every step of the way. Lunch, learning, and unforgettable moments ahead… we can’t wait to see you there! 🏄🏽‍♂️✨

From first jumps into the water… to putting their faces under for the very first time… to doing things they once thought they couldn’t. We get to witness these powerful moments every single day. And it never gets old.

At Swim Up Hill, it’s more than just learning how to swim, it’s about building confidence, facing fears, and discovering just how strong you really are.

To every kid out there: you are braver than you think. Keep showing up, keep trying, and don’t be afraid to take that first leap 🌊

And to our community, thank you for helping make these moments possible. This is why we do what we do.

Onto week 5 of swim lessons, what an incredible few weeks it has been! From the very first splash, the pool has been filled with laughter, excitement, and so much joy from the amazing kids in the National City community here in San Diego. 🏊‍♀️✨

Watching confidence grow in the water, seeing big smiles, and hearing the cheers from new friends has already made this journey unforgettable. These kids showed up with courage, energy, and huge hearts and we couldn’t be more proud.

Week 5 has already begun, and we’re so excited to see what the next chapters of this 10-week program will bring! 🙌

BIG THINGS ARE HAPPENING IN NATIONAL CITY!

Through the SoCal Swim Project, Swim Up Hill is proud to bring FREE swim lessons to 2nd graders across the National City School District right here in San Diego. 💙

We’re on a mission: 10 schools. 10 weeks. Hundreds of kids learning life-saving skills.

Every splash, every smile, and every moment of courage in the water reminds us why this work matters. We’re beyond excited to keep the momentum going and continue building confidence, safety, and joy in the water for our community.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who has supported, partnered, volunteered, and believed in this vision. We couldn’t do this without you! 🙌
