1: Embodied Resistance
âThere is a lot going on in our country right now, and more than ever, we need community. We must continue to speak out against the corrupt administration that continues to alienate and separate families. This is not normal, and none of what is happening should be normalized. We need to wakeup and continue to stay informed, as well as educate those around us, because together we are stronger. ICE OUT.â
2: From LA to The Bay
âMy trip to San Fransisco last April is definitely one of my favorite memories. It had always been my dream to travel, and although the trip was still inside California, it felt entirely different from Los Angeles. The slang , the culture, and the people all made it feel like a new world to me. During this trip, I had the privilege of experiencing a new landscape, and something one of the mentors in my class shared really stayed with me, that landscapes can be political. It made me question.. who has access to these views? Who can afford to travel, and who cannot? This was an idea I had never really thought about before, and realizing how it affects me and people around me opened my eyes and changed the way I see these scenic views. Im forever grateful to have been able to experience such a beautiful city.â
