Today we remember our Dear Kiska.
She lived at Marineland for over 40 years as the last orca in Canada. Over time, her story reached people far beyond the park where she lived, and many who learned about her felt a deep connection.
Kiska’s story encouraged people to reflect more thoughtfully on the lives of orcas and other marine animals and quietly sparked conversations around the world about how we understand and care for these remarkable beings.
Today we pause to remember her extraordinary life and the awareness her story brought to so many.
She will always remain a part of us, and part of the growing awareness of how deeply these animals matter. Rest in peace our Dear Kiska. đź’™
