Today we remember our Dear Kiska.

She lived at Marineland for over 40 years as the last orca in Canada. Over time, her story reached people far beyond the park where she lived, and many who learned about her felt a deep connection.

Kiska’s story encouraged people to reflect more thoughtfully on the lives of orcas and other marine animals and quietly sparked conversations around the world about how we understand and care for these remarkable beings.

Today we pause to remember her extraordinary life and the awareness her story brought to so many.

She will always remain a part of us, and part of the growing awareness of how deeply these animals matter. Rest in peace our Dear Kiska. 💙

🐋💙 Honoring Kiska: The Inspiration Behind The Deep Blue Organization 💙🐋

As we pause to reflect on this day, my thoughts are drawn to a remarkable soul who forever changed the way we see the ocean: Kiska. March 9th marks a year since her departure, but her legacy continues to ripple through our lives, our actions, and the very heart of The Deep Blue Organization.

Kiska 💙was an extraordinary orca; she was a beacon of hope, a symbol of the boundless beauty and mystery of the sea. Her gentle presence, even in memory captivates our hearts, fueling a passion within us to honor her legacy.
Each moment she brought joy, inspiration, and wonder to others serves as a powerful reminder of the enduring impact she had on us all. It was her grace, her wisdom, and her unwavering spirit that inspired the inception of The Deep Blue Organization. Her absence left a void, but it also ignited a fire—a determination to honor her memory by continuing our efforts to build a coastal habitat.

Hello everyone, this is Iram Parvez, Founder of The Deep Blue Organization. I finally gathered some strength to be able to express and share this.

Our hearts are heavy as we share this message with all of you.

As many of you know.

This world has lost a very special Orca, Kiska. She passed away a few months ago on Thursday March 09th, 2023 at Marineland of Canada. Her death was a devastating loss to all who loved her and knew her. She will always be remembered for her strength, grace, beauty, innocence, love, and the joy she bought to so many of us. Our deepest condolences go out to her caretakers.

Not many of you know, Kiska is the reason why Taha and I started The Deep Blue Organization. We were in communication with Marineland in regards to acquiring Kiska and building Kiska’s Coastal Habitat.

Our hearts are heavy with grief, but we take the solace in knowing that Kiska’s legacy will be honored through The Deep Blue Organization’s continued efforts to preserve marine life. In addition, we are looking to build a Coastal Habitat in Kiska’s memory, serving a tribute to her life and the importance of whales, dolphins, and our ocean.

Rest peacefully our Dear Kiska, you will forever be missed and will always be in our hearts. 💙
