This Memorial Day, we honor the heroes who served our country. ❤️

Today’s story is about G.I. Jane, a homeless dog who found refuge at a remote VA facility, where kindhearted staff members and G.I. Joes made sure she was never forgotten. For weeks, they fed and protected her until one caring nurse reached out to Hope For Paws for help.

What happened next is truly heartwarming and a reminder that kindness can change a life forever.

Many times, we come across dogs that belonged to a homeless person, and that person disappears (usually due to medical reasons, sometimes arrests, sometimes some other unknown reason). Luckily, more and more people know to call for help, and with help from we brought Brenda's story to a very happy ending.

When Magic's owner died, there was no plan for her... she was kept on the property for 11 months as a "guard dog" with no human contact. We only got a call once the property was up for sale and they needed to "get rid of the dog".

Please don't think your family would do the right thing for your pets. This is a serious issue that has to be handled with properly, and if your family won't help, we will.

Once again, a coyote got in the middle of our rescue. 🫢
Luckily, this coyote didn't mess with our Pit Bull, but she wouldn't surrender easily. We ran for a couple of miles, and then I just had to do it.

Albert’s world changed when the person he loved could no longer keep him. 💔
This sweet adult orange tabby found himself alone in the overcrowded LA shelter system, confused and waiting for someone to notice him.

Albert is extra special. He’s an American Curl with adorable curled ears and tiny extra toes that make him even more unique. But what really makes Albert special is his gentle heart and the quiet hope that someone will give him a second chance at love.

Hope For Paws arranged for Albert to receive the medical care he needed at CARES so he could finally have the opportunity to find a forever home.

Now all Albert needs is a person who will promise him that he’ll never feel abandoned again. 🧡

This little family survived against all odds! It doesn't have to be a dogs, puppies, cats or kittens - we rescued squirrels, raccoons, ducks, geese, birds of prey, song birds, turtles, iguanas, a pig and a donkey. ☺️

Fergie had no chance to survive out there, but luckily, someone knew to call Hope For Paws for help. 💝

Scooter was abandoned in a dangerous place, but with help from Good Samaritans who fed him daily, I was able to get him to safety and eventually to his dream home. 😉👍
