ACPB believes that by educating about, advocating for, and celebrating pit bulls, we can help promote positive public opinion of this breed, decrease the high level of euthanasia happening in our overcrowded shelters (where way too many good dogs are dying due to space constraints!) and increase adoptions of pit bulls into stable, loving homes. We face an uphill battle with many states enacting BS

L and breed bans, but we will never give up. These wonderful dogs need our help, and we are proud to lend our voice to this cause we care so deeply about. 🚨SOS🚨Kitten fosters needed!
The shelters are filling up with kittens and we would love to be able to rescue more. Have some time and a little space to welcome some of the cuties into your home? Even if only for a week, having a place to land helps us and these cuties tremendously. Handsome boy Azzurro was discharged from our friends at today. He is such a sweetheart and looks so good. He originally arrived at the North Central animal shelter 5 days ago looking terrible and immediately tested positive for the parvo virus. We saw their plea and were able to get him hospitalized for treatment. The next step was to find a foster. Luckily someone has stepped up and he will only need to spend one night in our parvo ward before he can move.

One of the biggest challenges with the parvo virus puppies is finding fosters. After being hospitalized they tend to do really well and are just need of a foster home while they wait a week or two before being cleared for spay and neuter. These puppies deserve a chance to live a full and happy life, but the shelters often don’t have the resources to treat them. That means many of them are flagged to be euthanized a day or 2 after diagnosis so they don’t suffer. We would live to take in more parvo positive puppies, but we need more foster homes to do so. These puppies can go to homes with vaccinated adult dogs. Many of our fosters have other animals in the home and it doesn’t impact their personal pets. We would love to tell you more!

FOSTER NEEDED!!!

Azzurro is almost ready for discharge and still needs a foster. He is 14 weeks old and about 22 pounds. This little mush has been doing so well with his parvo recovery that he is ready for discharge. He would love a nice foster home to move to so he can relax and go back to normal puppy activities.

He can go to a home with adult dogs and or cats. He is a sweet boy who is in need of some TLC. When he is discharged he shouldn’t have any meds, just needs to eat 3 times a day, play, and sleep. To learn more about opening up your home to this absolute sweetheart email [email protected]

Help Our Kittens Grow Up: Weaning Fosters Needed! The kitten boom is here, and we need your help with a vital part of their development: weaning! We are looking for dedicated fosters to join our team to specialize in teaching kittens how to transition from milk replacer to canned food. Because these little bears are still learning to eat on their own, they require close monitoring and may need supplemental bottle feedings.

At 5 years old and 58 pounds, this cutie pie has mastered the art of balance: part laidback lounge king, part goofy little character. He’s the kind of dog who’s perfectly content soaking up sunshine or snoozing the day away—aka the ultimate work-from-home coworker (95% of the time, he’s off the clock napping 💤).
What life with Chuckles looks like:
· Mornings: A nice stroll (he’s a pro on the leash!) followed by a celebratory pup cup. ☕️
· Afternoons: WFH? He’ll “work” alongside you, which mostly involves snoring while you take Zoom calls. Otherwise, he’s on the job (we mean couch 🤭) keeping watch.
· Evenings: Goofball mode activated. Between the head tilts and the “cinnamon roll” tail, he’ll have you laughing until bedtime.
Chuckles is more than just a pet; he’s a mood-booster in dog form. Come meet our favorite smarty-pants today! 💛

A big thank you to our “Snuggle Stitchers” group for hand, making blankets and warmers for all of our kittens that will go into foster this season!
