Frida is interning at Dogtopia Doggy Care learning about playing and caring for dogs. She remembers having a dog when she was small and was intrigued by the internship opportunity.

Her time at the dog care site is teaching her responsibility and piqued her interest in a possible future in dog grooming.

Three of our youth interns just earned their Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) Barista Certificate ☕️✨

After 160+ hours behind the bar, they built the hands-on skills and coffee knowledge to confidently pass the exam.

This certification opens doors to artisan coffee shops, strengthens their resumes, and helps them stand out with Starbucks, our regional hiring partners. We’re so proud of the work they’ve put in and excited for what’s next.

Volunteer as a Mentor

Research shows that having a trusted adult in life can have a profound impact on a youth’s life. Pairing interns with a mentor can support them in not only finding employment, but maintaining employment, and in navigating the basics of becoming independent.

Your role would be to support a youth in their job search process as well as navigating basic life skills as needed. The commitment would entail a minimum of monthly in-person meetings for 1 year, with check-ins by text and phone as needed.

Every dollar earned at Rosebud Coffee supports the internship program.
This program provides hands-on job training, life skills, and mentorship across coffee, fitness, retail, dog care, construction, and more.

Youth are placed at meaningful job sites with local businesses, gaining real experience alongside consistent mentorship and soft-skill support.

Meet Andreya. Through her Coffee With A Cause internship at AION Gym, she trained alongside Coach V, earned her NASM certification, and is now a personal trainer at 24 Hour Fitness.

This is what happens when a young person gets a real chance.
