“KPA officer during field training exercise, 2019. 🇰🇵”

Back to the classic uniform of the KPA, it’s been a while since we posted the brown uniform that the KPA uses. We been covering so much of the newer KPA stuff such as the Overseas operations forces’ Russian uniform and the new digital camo and gear that is being used, that we haven’t really looked that classic brown uniform look. Thanks to my friend I was able to get my hands on a four roll ribbon bar which really adds the the aesthetics of the KPA officer uniform. Once the weather in California cools down more I hope to do more KPA related stuff. Thanks for sticking around! 🇰🇵🇰🇵🇰🇵

“KPA soldier during night training exercise, 2025.”

After long last, thanks to 谢升 the modern KPA digital vest is REALLL!!! I can finally go airsofitng in a modern KPA kit that isn’t the brown uniform or the now outdated woodland uniform. This camo first made its appearance in 2020 and saw wilder distribution to rest of the army through 2021-2025. It’s the most seen camo along side the arid version of the uniform that Is Seen with paratroopers and Air Force Personals. It’s like a dream come true to have this uniform set done with combat gear and the helmet cover. Once again thank you 谢升 for making this possible and making it happen.

“KPA overseas operations soldier during the liberation of Kursk, 2025 🇰🇵🇷🇺”

Finally brought out the overseas operations impression again, this time with out the mustache. It’s always nice to run this kit, it’s comfy and compact. The AK-12 look with this kit is so good and iconic for the DPRK’s participation in the Russo-Ukraine war. It’s been more than a year since the KPA overseas operation force took part in the war, with only combat engineer units in Kursk clean up explosives and mines. Hope to see more documentary of the unit as the museum has opened to honor the men who fought in the Ukraine war.

“KPA Special Forces soldier during infiltration training exercises, early 1980s.”

Since I been doing a lot of Modern KPA Special Forces post with the Overseas Operations force, it’s time to go back in time with a kit I haven’t done a long time. Early KPA special forces, more specifically the Infiltration units. Using the TTSMKK jumpsuit as their main camo, these light infantry unit help scout out ahead for KPA units and engage in infiltration and sabotage behind enemy line.

“KPA soldier during military training exercise involving new technology, May 2025.”

Here’s a look at the Korean people’s army soldier during a training exercise held in May 2025. Being one of the first training exercise done by the KPA after the return of the Overseas operation force, their experience in Ukraine has brought valuable lessons for the KPA at home. The exercise saw the usage of Drones and a domestic copy of the MILES gear similar to what NATO countries use in training. This training showcase the modernization process of the KPA in 2025, which saw many rapid modernization program for all three branches of the KPA.

“KPA overseas operation force soldier during training by Russian instructors, April 2025. 🇰🇵🇷🇺.”

To Celebrate the DPRK’s participation in the Russian victory parade, here’s a throwback to my Overseas operation force RPG gunner kit. I was so happy to see the KPA march on the red square on May 9th, the brave men of the DPRK hard work and sacrifices allowed the DPRK to become a bigger player in international stage! More post coming soon now that I am back from my vacation!

Another year another Display at the Planes of Fame Air Museum MiG Fly in event!

It’s been a long time since I did a display, and this time the table and set up was improved compared to last year’s display. I was able to display a few Korean War uniforms, medals and the portraits Badges, alongside with flags and a mannequin. Thank you Thomas Yip for lending the PPSH to complete the display. Hopefully next time I do a display I won’t have my mustache 😂😂😂

“KPA Overseas Operation Force soldier armed with a AK-12 during liberation of Kursk, 2025. 🇰🇵🇷🇺”

At long last, I have finally got an AK-12 to complete the iconic look of the KPA Overseas Operation Force. The KPA was seen often equipped with the 1P87 holographic sight on their AK-12, and it truly completes the look. The kit is amazing with the AK-12 and the sight feels great in combat. Will definitely take more photos with it once I shave my mustache ( I need it for the upcoming Iran Iraq war event 😂) the next event I will be doing is a display at planes of fame during the MiG fly in on April 4th so look forward to that post 👀👀👀

“KPA overseas operation forces soldier with fellow Russian soldiers during their deployment in Kursk, April 2025. 🇰🇵🇷🇺”

The KPA deployment in Kursk was a huge man power boost to the Russian forces in the area. Although the KPA suffered in the beginning to drones and cluster mu*****ns due to their large group of soldiers for assaults, they quickly learn and adapted to the situation in the Russo-Ukrainian war. KPA soldiers began to shoot down any drones they see, Russian or Ukrainian, and they began to assault in smaller groups. The Russians helped out the KPA soldier and command to get used to the reality of modern war and the KPA began to use drones of their own to help their attacks. The KPA gain valuable experience from the deployment and learn the harsh reality of modern war. _____________________________________________

“KPA officer during the celebration of the Foundation of the Korean People’s Army, 1970s. 🇰🇵”

February 8th 1948 is the official foundation day of the Korean People’s Army. often confused with the April 25th date which is the Founding of the Korean People’s revolutionary army, which is the predecessor of the KPA formed in 1932 against the Japanese occupation. The two dates were celebrated along side until 1978, which the two foundation dates are merged into being celebrated on April 25th. In 2015, under the guidance of Kim Jong Un, the February 8th date is brought back as a national holiday and occasionally parades are held over the course of the years. On another note I was able to put the medals I got from Show of Shows to my original 70-80s uniform and it works great with it.
