Another year another Display at the Planes of Fame Air Museum MiG Fly in event!

It’s been a long time since I did a display, and this time the table and set up was improved compared to last year’s display. I was able to display a few Korean War uniforms, medals and the portraits Badges, alongside with flags and a mannequin. Thank you Thomas Yip for lending the PPSH to complete the display. Hopefully next time I do a display I won’t have my mustache 😂😂😂

“KPA Overseas Operation Force soldier armed with a AK-12 during liberation of Kursk, 2025. 🇰🇵🇷🇺”

At long last, I have finally got an AK-12 to complete the iconic look of the KPA Overseas Operation Force. The KPA was seen often equipped with the 1P87 holographic sight on their AK-12, and it truly completes the look. The kit is amazing with the AK-12 and the sight feels great in combat. Will definitely take more photos with it once I shave my mustache ( I need it for the upcoming Iran Iraq war event 😂) the next event I will be doing is a display at planes of fame during the MiG fly in on April 4th so look forward to that post 👀👀👀

“KPA overseas operation forces soldier with fellow Russian soldiers during their deployment in Kursk, April 2025. 🇰🇵🇷🇺”

The KPA deployment in Kursk was a huge man power boost to the Russian forces in the area. Although the KPA suffered in the beginning to drones and cluster munitions due to their large group of soldiers for assaults, they quickly learn and adapted to the situation in the Russo-Ukrainian war. KPA soldiers began to shoot down any drones they see, Russian or Ukrainian, and they began to assault in smaller groups. The Russians helped out the KPA soldier and command to get used to the reality of modern war and the KPA began to use drones of their own to help their attacks. The KPA gain valuable experience from the deployment and learn the harsh reality of modern war. _____________________________________________

“KPA officer during the celebration of the Foundation of the Korean People’s Army, 1970s. 🇰🇵”

February 8th 1948 is the official foundation day of the Korean People’s Army. often confused with the April 25th date which is the Founding of the Korean People’s revolutionary army, which is the predecessor of the KPA formed in 1932 against the Japanese occupation. The two dates were celebrated along side until 1978, which the two foundation dates are merged into being celebrated on April 25th. In 2015, under the guidance of Kim Jong Un, the February 8th date is brought back as a national holiday and occasionally parades are held over the course of the years. On another note I was able to put the medals I got from Show of Shows to my original 70-80s uniform and it works great with it.

“KPA overseas operation force soldier with a SVD during the liberation of Kursk Oblast, 2025 🇷🇺🇰🇵”

Slowly going thru post with different weapons that the overseas operation force using during their time in the liberation of Kursk in early 2025. Here’s a showcase of a KPA soldier using a SVD marksman rifle, one of the more rare gun they use as most are always seen with AK-12s. Currently working on a kit guide for KPA overseas operation force impressions for maybe future plans of going to Milsim events as a group.

“Missile Administration Officer during SAM firing drill, December 2025. 🇰🇵”

Finally truly finished the Missile administration uniform, with the correct camo winter boot they wear for cold weather operations. Missile Administration is the back bone of the DPRK nuclear deterrent and self defense strategy, so important that they became their own branch of the KPA. With the DPRK creating more and more different type of missile such as the new hypersonic missile, the Missile Administration continues to become an important part of the DPRK’s military strength.

“Worker-Peasant Red Guard militia on the border village with China, 2019. 🇰🇵”

It’s finally fur coat season again!!! These coats are issued out to both army and militia in the border regions, keeping the soldiers and militias warm during the winter. It’s also nice to be back in the Peasant red guard uniform again, love that red star cap and the simplicity of the kit. Going to be balancing out both domestic KPA uniform alongside the Overseas operation force impressions as the collection grows. More post are coming 👀👀👀

Thank you all for a great 2025!!! 🇰🇵🇰🇵🇰🇵

This year was full of surprises with me starting my KPA overseas force impressions, which I never thought I would be doing a Russian kit. I got my hands on a lot of new stuff over this year to my DPRK collection. I hope to get more stuff and showcase different impressions for the next year. Happy new year and long live the DPRK 🇰🇵🇰🇵🇰🇵

“KPA soldier of the 528th Regiment of Engineers in Kursk during mine and explosive clearing operations in November, 2025. 🇷🇺🇰🇵”

Heres my WIP KPA combat engineer kit in Kursk as seen in November this year. Unlike the frontline combat kit, the engineers wear 6B45s and 6B47 helmets. They are equipped with Ak-74Ms and RPK-74Ms during their operations. The KPA engineers along side the Russian was able to clear most of Kursk of mines and explosive left over from the battles from last year to earlier this year. DPRK and Russian federation ties grow closer as the Russo-Ukrainian war drags on.

“KPA officer on a cold day in the rural areas near Pyongyang, 1980s. 🇰🇵”

Hope everyone had a great Christmas and enjoy this holiday season. Cold weather has arrived in California and I am able to bring out my colder weather gear finally. Got my hands on an original marked KPA ushanka that fits me and it’s super comfortable. Ushankas are wore with normal uniforms during the 1970s-1980s, unlike the combination with winter cloth or overcoat of the modern era. It’s an aesthetic on its own and I love it.

“”KPA overseas operation force soldier armed with a RPK during liberation of Kursk. 2025 🇰🇵🇷🇺”

Here’s a look at what a KPA RPK gunner looks like during the operation for the liberation of Kursk in 2025. The KPA forces used both PKM and RPK as fire support for their squads, seen often in training video and combat videos. Although being a kit that uses foreign gear and weapons, it is still unique to DPRK collecting and impressions as it had its own characteristics compared to the Russian look as they began to use more Multicam gears.
