🚨 Today’s $5 Friday! WE ARE DROWNING IN MEDICAL BILLS🚨

Romeo recently came to us from a heartbreaking backyard breeder surrender, and while we are so grateful we could say YES to him… the truth is, we are barely scraping by.

And it’s not just Romeo. 💔 Ollie unexpectedly needed dental surgery for a retracted canine tooth, leaving us with another $600 bill—and we haven’t raised a single dollar toward it yet.

The bills keep coming faster than we can fundraise for them, and we’ve reached a point where we genuinely don’t know how we can keep doing this without help.

If this continues, we will have no choice but to start saying NO to dogs who desperately need us.

We don’t want finances to decide who gets a chance. But we simply cannot do this alone.

Romeo & Juliet have spent their lives existing…… Now, they finally get to LIVE ❤️‍🩹🐾

These two came to us from a heartbreaking breeder surrender involving over 50 dogs who have spent much of their lives confined to cages and used for breeding 😰 Several rescues came together to give these dogs a chance BUT WE AREN’T DONE YET!- WE NEED MORE FOSTERS!!!

They are now learning what life outside of a crate actually feels like😭

💚Grass under their feet.
💛A soft bed.
💚Proper nutrition.
💛Veterinary care above all.(thanks to our amazing vet Dr. Jeff Werber )
💚Basic training.
And most importantly… being LOVED simply because they deserve to be loved. 🥺

Right now, they need life to slow down 🪷 A quiet, safe place to decompress, feel secure, and slowly open up. Everything is new to these babies 🥺

Romeo had his first vet visit today ($88.70) and thankfully received a clean bill of health! Other than an ear cleaning, his first couple vaccines, and a flea and tick oral medication 🙏 His next step is his neuter, which we need help covering.

Juliet is loving life with her amazing fosters, we’ve learned that she’s extremely curious and sweet as pie. She will soon also have a vet appointment that we need help covering!

There are still more dogs from this situation that we would LOVE to help. But rescue means knowing our limits. Before we can say yes to another, we have to take care of the dogs already standing in front of us.

And that is where we need our village, YOU GUYS❤️

✨ NEW RESCUE ARRIVAL TODAY ! 🐶❤️

We are SO excited to welcome new HDF kids into our rescue today! Because everything happened so quickly, we had to order all of their supplies last minute yesterday instead of waiting for items to be donated through our Amazon Wishlist.

Those unexpected costs add up FAST for a small rescue. 💔

To be completely transparent with everyone here: I’M ABOUT TWO SECONDS FROM DRIVING SEVEN HOURS TO PICKING THIS SWEETHEART UP 😫😫😫 my close friends know how much I truly care for this dog. Her situation right now is URGENT ‼️‼️

Before anything else, we need one answer: Is Inga truly dog reactive, or has she simply never been given the chance to show us who she is? ❤️

In just a few days, Inga will lose the only place she’s ever known. We’re praying for a miracle, but first she needs a professional assessment with our trainer. We need to raise just $100 to make that happen.

At 11 years old, Inga deserves more than a kennel. She deserves a couch, a soft bed, and someone to finally choose her🥹

Sweet SIMONE needs TECA surgery… and we need your help. 💔🐾

This is what years of chronic ear disease can look like.

Our sweet rescue girl has reached the point where medication is no longer enough. She now needs a TECA (Total Ear Canal Ablation)—a major surgery that removes the entire diseased ear canal to finally eliminate the constant pain and infection she’s been living with.

This isn’t a cosmetic procedure. It’s a life-changing surgery for dogs whose ears have become so damaged that they can no longer be treated with medication alone.

Dogs needing a TECA often suffer from:
🐶 Constant ear infections
🐶 Severe pain and inflammation
🐶 Thickened, scarred ear canals
🐶 Hearing loss
🐶 A terrible smell and continuous discharge
🐶 Sleepless nights from discomfort

The surgery removes the source of the pain, allowing these dogs to finally live comfortably again. While many dogs lose hearing in the affected ear, the reality is that most already have very little hearing because the disease has destroyed the ear canal. What they gain is something so much more important: a life without constant pain.

THE GOOD NEWS:
She saw our vet yesterday and we’re happy to report that her blood work is great and she’s ready to safely. Have surgery.

These precious puppies are still living on the streets of Mexico. 💔 We would love to save them, but we can’t without foster homes waiting for them 😫

They’re being fed when someone can, but it’s not enough for growing puppies who deserve safety, proper nutrition, and a chance at a real life.

If you’ve ever thought about fostering, this is your sign. Even fostering just one puppy could save a life. Please help us bring them home. 🐶❤️

Our biggest struggle right now isn’t pulling dogs… it’s simply keeping the ones we’ve already promised safe fed.

Every single week, we spend $240 just to feed the dogs we care for in Mexico. ON TOP OF THAT, we have to pay for an Uber to deliver their food to one of our fosters who doesn’t have a car. Then come the unexpected vet bills, supplies, medications, flea and tick prevention, and transportation to appointments. It never stops.

The honest truth is that I’ve been covering much of this out of my own pocket, and I just can’t keep doing it anymore. I’m asking for help because I truly can’t do this alone 😔😫

Most of these dogs are the big, overlooked ones that don’t get the same attention as the tiny puppies. But they are no less deserving of full bellies, medical care, and a chance at a better life! We made a commitment to them, and we will never give up on them.

If our rescue has ever meant something to you, or maybe you’ve adopted a pup from Mexico from us before, this is the moment we need our village.
