LUTECH GROUP & APAX PARTNERS DROP MILAN FASHION WEEK!

In just 6 days and 9 protests across 6 cities in the United States, United Kingdom, and Germany, Lutech Group, the latest sponsor of Milan Fashion Week, has waved the white flag.

The Milan-based tech firm, which only recently partnered with the controversial fashion event to provide technological support, becomes the FIFTH sponsor to cut ties under pressure from the anti-fur movement.

Over those 6 days, activists protested the offices of Apax Partners, the private equity firm that owns Lutech, in London, NYC, and Munich. Apax affiliates in London, Chicago, and North Carolina were also targeted.

Peaceful protesters, speaking up for the millions of animals slaughtered every year by the fur industry for the luxury fashion paraded at Milan Fashion Week, were met with violence. In London, activists were dragged out by their hair at the Apax offices. In NYC, Apax security threatened to knock activists’ teeth out.

And yet they were undeterred.

Acqua Fiuggi was the fourth sponsor to cut ties with Milan Fashion Week and Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana (CNMI)…but they won’t be the last! Activists across North America, Europe, and Asia showed up at the offices, homes, and events of all the affiliates of Acqua Fiuggi.

Until Milan Fashion Week officially bans fur, any sponsor or entity associated with them will face protests.

NEW MFW SPONSOR: LUTECH & APAX PARTNERS!

The latest company foolish enough to partner with Milan Fashion Week is Lutech Group. It didn’t learn from Wella, DHL, Visa, or Acqua Fiuggi/LMDV Capital.

Well, you know what that means…

This Milan-based tech company, owned by private equity firm Apax Partners, just made both of them the center of attention for the anti-fur movement.

From this day forward, everyone associated with Lutech Group and Apax Partners will be protested for continuing to support Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana (CNMI) and the bloody fur industry.

Visit abolishfur.org/lutech-apax to send an email to executives at Lutech and Apax asking them to cut ties with Milan Fashion Week until it announces an official fur-free policy.

The CAFT Feral Summer Tour hits Paris this month (June 23–25), right in the middle of the menswear shows, so what better time to remind Paris Fashion Week that we’re keeping an eye on them.

While activists around the globe lay siege to Paris’s buddy, Milan Fashion Week, for clinging to fur on the runway, it’s only a matter of time before our attention turns to Paris… unless they do the right thing and cut ties with the bloody fur trade first.

Send an email and drop a comment to Morand Pascal, President of PFW, and to the rest of the organizers of Paris Fashion Week. Let them know fur is unacceptable, and it’s time to take a stand and get in line with the rest of the fashion industry.
