📣 Summer Attendance Incentive Update for Spoke Officers

To meet the overtime requirement, officers must work one approved block of at least four consecutive overtime hours. Separate two-hour blocks do not qualify.

Spoke officers may request available overtime at Phoenix, Mesa Gateway, or another airport, but the assignment must be approved in advance and travel is at the employee’s own expense.

The final incentive amount has not yet been announced by TSA Headquarters. Check with scheduling or your FOS early, as qualifying overtime blocks may be limited.

Know the difference: FMLA protects your job/absence, but it is not automatically paid leave.

For most FMLA, you must use your own leave or LWOP. Paid Parental Leave is different: eligible TSA employees may receive paid leave for a qualifying birth, adoption, or foster placement.

Important: FMLA used before PPL counts against available PPL. Example: 480 PPL hours - 40 prior FMLA hours = 440 PPL hours remaining.
