A series of musicians will be performing at Botanical Brunch, two of which are a flautist and harpist duo who will perform together! Their repertoire ranges from upbeat pop classics to classical favorites, all of which theyâll be showcasing on May 3rd. đ”â Learn a little biit more about them below:
Carter () is the harpist in six different USC ensembles, the San Gabriel Valley Symphony (), and is the harpist-on-call for the Fresno Philharmonic (). She challenges the normalities of the harp through unique, boundary pushing arrangements. She enjoys playing music from films, aspiring to one day play on a movie soundtrack herself, and collaborating with pop musicians to create new sounds.
Gabriela () is a flautist and recent graduate from the USC Thornton School of Music. She has performed at both Carnegie Hall and Disney Hall and has received multiple awards for her work. Gaby is also dedicated to music education and audio engineering. She currently interns at Squeak E. Clean Studios and teaches through Harmony Project and Inner City Youth Orchestra of Los Angeles ().
